Former Twitch streamer and current YouTube streamer Guy Beahm, better known as Dr Disrespect, has been accused of "sexting a minor" and "trying to meet up with her at TwitchCon" by an ex-Twitch employee. Dr Disrespect was one of the first hugely successful streamers on Twitch. His over-the-top persona propelled him to fame, and he remains one of the industry's most popular personalities, but his streaming career has not been without controversy.

Dr Disrespect was temporarily banned from Twitch after he and his cameraman filmed inside a public bathroom at E3 2019. In June 2020, Dr Disrespect was hit with a permanent Twitch ban, seemingly out of nowhere, with no specific reason given for the ban. At the time of his ban, Disrespect said he did not know why Twitch banned him, though he said in 2021 that he did finally know the reason. Disrespect and Twitch settled their legal dispute over the situation in 2022, though no reason for his ban has ever been given by either party, and the streamer has stayed on YouTube in the years since.

With it being four years since Dr Disrespect was banned, many had likely accepted that they would never learn the reason why Twitch banned one of its biggest streamers. Then on June 21, former Twitch staffer Cody Conners took to Twitter to claim that Dr Disrespect was banned because he "got caught sexting a minor in the then existing Twitch whispers product. He was trying to meet up with her at TwitchCon. The powers that be could read in plain text." Conners did not provide any screenshots or other evidence backing up the allegations.

Dr Disrespect Responds to Allegations

Neither Twitch nor Dr Disrespect has put out an official statement addressing the allegations at the time of this writing. However, Disrespect did respond to a re-tweet of the accusations. In his response, Disrespect said that the matter "has been settled" and "no wrongdoing was acknowledged." Disrespect added that Twitch "paid out the whole contract" that he had with the streaming platform.

Dr Disrespect's streams lately have been focused on Elden Ring, a game that has become incredibly popular in the streaming community thanks to a hugely successful Kai Cenat marathon stream and the hype surrounding the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion. It's unclear when Dr Disrespect is going to stream next and if he will address the allegations on his stream.
