Dr Disrespect is no stranger to throwing shade at fellow streamers, as his persona is very much the heel type. The WWE-like content creator is at it again with a tweet directed at xQc, a popular Twitch streamer, making fun of him for playing a cartoon-style tower defense title.
Steamer xQc, who was temporarily suspended from Twitch recently for stream sniping Shroud and others, was playing Bloons TD 6 and had quite a few viewers enjoying his content. Dr Disrespect, however, thought this was worth poking fun at. Doc usually plays shooters and high-octane action titles, so when he noticed what xQc was playing, he made fun of the idea that 60,000 people were watching him play "little tenacious destruction 6," which, of course, is not what the tower defense game is called.
The 44-second video starts out with an ultra close-up of Dr Disrespet's mustache-clad mug, which is perhaps the most iconic look in the world of vide0 game content creators. Doc is even in Rogue Company now, and his skin in-game stands out even amongst Hi-Rez's over-the-top characters.
While the camera is pointed directly at Doc, in the background is xQc's stream. Dr Disrespect takes his time to pause in between each thought and point out how silly it looks seeing xQc playing a game like this. Although players and streamers should be able to enjoy any game, and making fun of enjoying a "kids" game should not be taken seriously, Doc's video seems to be in jest and in-line with the character he created.
The comical timing and delivery of the insult are great, as "Two Time," as he calls himself, is known for being a shrewd and creative streamer, just as much as being a top-notch sniper and performer in first-person-shooters. Doc's takedown of Ninja in a shade-triangle involving Alinity is a great example of his quick wit, often finding ways to implement his own popularity into the conversation.
However, xQc did end up responding in a Twitter reply, in which he started dancing goofily. For his part, xQc's seems to enjoy playing a wide range of titles, including Bloons TD 6, which was recently on sale, and dancing around; things that Dr Disresepct usually doesn't take part in. Each streamer has its own audience and is popular for its own reasons. Doc takes on an over-the-top persona of being a two-time champion and taking things ultra-seriously, while xQc is a bit more laid back.
