To play Sniper, players should get the following starter items:
- Observer Ward (For Vision)
- Tango (To recover lost health)
- Slipper of Agility
- Circlet
- 2X Clarity (To recover mana)
The Slipper of Agility and Circlet can be upgraded to the Wraith Band.

- Shadow Blade (Grants attack speed, attack damage, and invisibility. The item can be upgraded to Silver Edge so that Sniper can gank enemy heroes that are jungling solo)
- Daedalus (Grants 88 damage, and each attack has a 30% chance of 225% damage)
- Maelstrom (Deals 24 attack damage with chain lightning. The item can be upgraded to Glepnir for strength, agility, intelligence, and attack damage. Additionally, Glepnir can be activated to root enemies for 2 seconds)
