Doom Patrol has long been one of the most popular adaptations of DC Comics characters on HBO Max. However, one of the streaming series' stars, Diane Guerrero, might have hinted that the show won't release new episodes shortly.

There are several reasons why Doom Patrol season 4 might be the last season for the quirky DC Comics show. There has been a massive shakeup at the top of DC's movies and television division, and it doesn't seem like anyone knows what movies will be made and what shows will get another season. Then there's HBO Max, which has been cancelling shows left and right. Indeed, there are plenty of reasons to believe Doom Patrol could be winding down, even if there hasn't been any official announcement.

Add in what seems like a pretty strong hint from Doom Patrol star Guerrero in a since-deleted Instagram post, and it looks as if an end is in sight for either the series or her character on the show. Reddit user DrAwesomeX posted the since-deleted picture and caption on the social media site, and the post immediately started people guessing what it meant. The picture shows Guerrero's character, Crazy Jane sitting by herself with the caption reading, "Goodbye my beloved."

Many Reddit users believe that the post, as well as the fact that the Doom Patrol actor deleted the entry, means that she spilled the beans on something that wasn't supposed to be known yet. Some users said they had heard rumors before that season 4 would be the end. Even some of the episode titles later in the season would make it clear the end was coming.

Other users posited that while Doom Patrol might go on, it's possible that Crazy Jane was going to be killed off. They felt like the DC Comics-inspired series had been moving towards no longer needing the character to be part of the cast as the body she inhabits was getting "better."

For now, if there is a resolution and either the death of a Doom Patrol character or the show's ending is in the works, it hasn't been announced. Viewers are waiting for Doom Patrol season 4, part 2, to see where the current plot line is going.
