The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has had its share of crossovers in the past thanks in part to its longevity. This includes building characters in the game that look similar to those seen in other forms of media. A gamer by the user handle PapaNoida made a character that looked similar to Patrick Bateman from American Psycho in Skyrim. PapaNoida was able to capture Christian Bale's image quite well, bringing the psychotic serial killer to the RPG.

There have been a lot of video game mashups over the years, showing that some games fit well mixed with others including adding music from one game into another. One fan of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim did just that by adding music from Doom into the popular RPG to create an amazing scene.

A Redditor by the name LuX_Lukas_ mashed together Doom and Skyrim by taking the music from the FPS and inserting it into the RPG. LuX_Lukas_ added the music over a scene of a player burning down the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary, and it fits incredibly well. The heavy guitars and drums compliment the flames being thrown at the Dark Brotherhood, becoming the perfect soundtrack for a player watching everything burn.

The Doom track that is being used is "The Only Thing They Fear Is You" by Mick Gordon, who composed the shooter's soundtrack. While the song fits the fiery destruction of the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary in Skyrim, some joke that the music from Doom pretty much goes along with anything done in everyday life. It seems to go along with any game as well, as it has been used in crossovers for other titles such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where the music surprisingly adds an interesting and fun atmosphere.

While LuX_Lukas_ is having fun putting Doom's music to Skyrim, others are enjoying messing with the game in other ways. One gamer, who goes by the username wtfamidoinglol42, created a mod for Skyrim that changes the text that appears on loading screens. The screens usually showcase tips for the player, but the mod changes the text into sarcastic and snarky comments. It helps to add a little humor to a game that can sometimes feel bleak.

It is not always gamers who help make Bethesda's RPG a bit more fun, as the game sometimes does it to itself. A gamer who goes by the handle lizardThenoob captured a moment in Skyrim where it looks like the player is absorbing a dragon soul out of a cow. The video shows the player take down a dragon, which lands on a dead cow and then disappears. When the gamer goes to absorb the dragon soul, it instead looks like the soul is being pulled out of the cow's body. With the continuous discovery of funny glitches and the addition of heavy metal, Skyrim shows it is still fun over ten years after release.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
