For those hunting down all the secrets in Doom Eternal, Automap terminals are an incredibly useful tool. When used, an Automap will reveal the entire area to the player. Within this map are grayed out locations indicating that the player hasn’t explored there yet, which is often a secret to be encountered.

In order to use this incredible tool players must first find the terminal, which can often be hidden as well. To get you started hunting down the various secrets and collectibles this game has tucked away, we'll detail the location of each Automap on each level.

12 Hell On Earth

This area has a number of useful secrets, such as the Cheat Code: Infinite Extra Lives, so finding the Automap here is definitely worth your time. Fortunately, it’s almost impossible to miss.

Shortly after defeating your first Arachnotron you’ll pick up the Heavy Cannon. In the very next room you go through on your way to the objective there will be an Automap terminal on the right-hand side.

11 Exultia

This level has some standard secret items like the Sentinel Crystal, a weapon mod, a Slayer Key, and so on. The Automap here is located in hell, in the purple slime pits. It’ll be along your standard path to the right and shouldn’t be too hard to find.

If none of the Toys or Codex entries interest you at least make a point of picking up the Rune, Sentinel Battery, and Empyrean Key, all of which will be revealed on the map.

10 Cultist Base

The secrets are a little more complicated on this level, often requiring hidden buttons and triggers to access. It’s also a large area so make sure to use the fast travel feature after you’ve located the Automap.

On this level the Automap isn’t hard to find, but some players might miss it if they aren’t paying attention. After killing a wave of enemies in the fiery pit of blood, there will be a hallway that’ll tease you with the Super Shotgun. To the left of that tantalizingly close weapon will be the terminal.

9 Doom Hunter Base

Now that you’re going up against Doom Hunters you’re going to be wanting more upgrade points for your Praetor Suit, Weapon Mods, and other collectibles to give you that edge. Between the battles and platforming it can be tricky to collect everything here.

The Automap is after the teleporter and through a door to the right. More specifically it’s in the same room that has the hologram of the Doom Hunter, the one just after the hologram of the Hell Priest.

8 Super Gore Nest

There are a ton of areas to explore and a lot of platforming that may or may not be intuitive to the average player. Odds are you’ll need some video walkthroughs to help you find everything here, but the Automap can take you most of the way.

After flipping the switch to get 50% of the power you need to kill the gore heart, or just after finding the Red Keycard, the terminal will be located in the next room. If you don’t see it right away odds are you went the wrong route so simply retrace your steps and go the other way.

7 ARC Complex

These collectibles are often located in random corners of the map and behind smashable walls which makes the Automap really handy. This level has the IDKFA Cheat Code which gives you all weapons and equipment. There are also five Praetor Points to be found here.

This one is located near the first Cyber Mancubus you face in the tall building where the enemies pour through the windows. Halfway up the building next to the Slayer Gate is a broken window that leads to a yellow pole. The terminal is located nearby and will be easy to see.

6 Mars Core

This is one of the crazier parts of the game and a lot of fun. It’s also fitting that the Cheat Code here is Powerup Mode: Onslaught which allows you to be in Onslaught mode permanently.

This Automap is located in the core of the BFG-10000 after using the maintenance hatch to access it. There will some zombies to clear out in this green room and the terminal is found nearby.

5 Sentinel Prime

This area comes with a ton of lore building and almost all of the collectibles are Codex Entries, except for one Praetor Point.

This Automap is incredibly easy to find as it’s right along the main path you’ll take to reach the boss. More specifically, it’ll be to the right of the grand staircases.

4 Taras Nabad

This ancient city is loaded with secrets that are hidden behind some interesting puzzles and locked gates. Using the Automap is almost a requirement to find everything tucked away here, and even then you’ll find yourself struggling now and then.

This Automap is also easy to find. It’ll be where you encounter your first Archville. After taking down this annoying demon and his minions the terminal is on the second floor of the arena to the left.

3 Nekravol

Things are starting to heat up and you’ll want some more Praetor Points and a Mastery Token to help you survive. This one can be easy to overlook when compared to the others.

The key to locating this terminal is to first find a specific Praetor Point. After facing the invisible Pinkies in a Crusher trap room is a path to the right. After collecting the Praetor Point walk off the edge to the right of the knight to drop down into a pool of blood, the terminal will be located here.

2 Nekravol Part II

The battles are getting a lot tougher, and you’ll notice that even with the previous upgrades and other secrets you found you’ll be wanting more. The Automap should be a high priority given how complex this level is.

The Automap is easy to find as it’s at the top of the spinning platform above the fiery pillars. Simply jump across the gap once you reach the top and you can obtain the Automap.

1 Urdak

The last Automap in the game is found in this city of wannabe angels. There are two Mastery Tokens and two Praetor Suit points that will make the final battles of this game much easier to manage.

To get to this Automap complete the section with the boosters/launchers that’ll place you in a large red room. In the back of this large space is the final Automap that’ll help you find everything in Urdak.
