The second set of Disney's massively popular trading card game Lorcana has been fully unveiled, alongside the announcement of a new Disney100 Edition anniversary collection. The first set of Lorcana is now available, though it's selling so fast that retailers rarely have stock. That isn't slowing Disney and partner Ravensburger down, however. It's already planning the arrival of Lorcana's second set, subtitled Rise of the Floodborn, for later this year.

The first set of Disney's Lorcana, subtitled The First Chapter, officially launched on September 1. The set was pre-launched in hobbyist stories weeks prior, but limited availability has made both launches understated. The First Chapter features 216 cards, with 204 making up the base deck and 12 additional very rare Enchanted cards. If interested players can find them in stores, Lorcana cards can be purchased via starter decks and booster packs, or via promotional bundles like the Lorcana Gift Set and Illumineer's Trove.

Disney isn't going to wait for its Lorcana supply issues to be fixed to prepare for what's coming next, though. Introducing Rise of the Floodborn, Lorcana's second official set. It's tentatively planned to launch in hobbyist stores on November 17, followed by major retailers on December 1. Rise of the Floodborn is confirmed to feature over 200 new cards, with new Disney properties features including The Great Mouse Detective, The Jungle Book, Pinocchio, The Princess and the Frog, Raya and the Last Dragon, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh, and Zootopia.

In addition to Rise of the Floodborn, Disney has also revealed a limited edition Disney100 anniversary collection. This too will be launching on December 1, but as a $49.99 premium product. The Disney100 Edition features six cards, four from The First Chapter and two from Rise of the Floodborn, each with new artwork, a special frame design, a foil finish, and the artist's signature. The cards are Emerald Genie, Ruby Stitch, Sapphire Maleficent, and Steel Maui from The First Chapter, as well as Amber Mickey Mouse and Amethyst Elsa from Rise of the Floodborn.

Rise of the Floodborn will be offered in an identical way to The First Chapter. Two new Lorcana starter decks, an Amber/Sapphire deck for The Queen and Gaston and an Amethyst/Steel deck with Merlin and Tiana, will each retail for $16.99. Booster packs will remain $5.99. Plus, there will be a new Rise of the Floodborn Illumineer's Trove available for $49.99.

To some Lorcana players' surprise, an official comment was also made regarding the availability of the TCG in stores. Work is said to be ongoing behind the scenes to try and "meet current demand." Unfortunately, it's unclear if that means supply will be increasing for The First Chapter or not. It's likely safe to assume that Lorcana will remain difficult to find on store shelves for the foreseeable future. Disney appears to have created a very popular and successful TCG with Lorcana.

Lorcana is available now.
