Where to Find Amethyst in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Amethyst can be found in 2 biomes in Dreamlight Valley:
- Forgotten Lands
- Frosted Heights
However, the catch is that players must unlock these two biomes with Dreamlight currency before they can get their hands on Amethyst. Frosted Heights can be unlocked after spending 10,000 Dreamlight, whereas the Forgotten Lands biome costs a whopping 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock. Therefore, in order to find this gem, players must unlock at least one of these biomes first. Players who don’t have enough Dreamlight should consider completing the Dreamlight Duties or crafting it using Dream Shards to make money in no time.
It is better to farm for Amethyst with a mining companion as not only will it increase the friendship level with that companion, but it will also help players find extra gems. However, it must be pointed out that players must reach a friendship level 2 to assign the mining role to a character. Also, Dreamers can now change the villagers' roles and take some other character for mining if they want to.
How to Find Amethyst in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
To mine Amethyst, players will need to get their trustworthy pickaxe, a royal tool, to interact with the mining nodes in Forgotten Lands or Frosted Heights. Patience is the key, as Dreamers are required to keep swinging until the nodes break, and as a reward, the nodes may drop an Amethyst. Once found, players can sell an Amethyst for 500 coins at Goofy’s stall.
It is pertinent to mention that players can also find a rarer variant of Amethyst, i.e., Shiny Amethyst, while farming for Amethyst in the aforementioned biomes. Thanks to its vibrant glow, it is instantly recognizable and can be sold for an astonishing 2,000 Star Coins.
