Catching Bass in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Bass is an open-water, inland fish, making it one of the easiest fish to catch in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Bass are caught when fishing only in open water, not in fishing pools. This means you will not catch Bass by fishing in white, blue, or orange fishing pools, nor can they be caught in the sands of the Glittering Dunes on Eternity Isle.

In Dreamlight Valley, players can catch Bass in Disney Dreamlight Valley only by fishing in the open water outside of pools in these biomes:

  • Peaceful Meadow (open water)
  • Forest of Valor (open water)
  • Sunlit Plateau (open water)
  • Frosted Heights (open water)

  • Glittering Dunes – The Oasis (open water)
  • Wild Tangle – The Grasslands (open water)
  • Wild Tangle – The Grove (open water)

How to “Play “Go Fish” With Some Bass”

Knowing where to find and catch Bass will make completing certain duties and Star Path tasks much easier, including one from the Lovely Monsters Star Path which asks players to “Play “Go Fish” with some bass.” This oddly-named task is also surprisingly literal: to complete this Star Path duty, players must catch 20 Bass in any of the areas listed above. Thankfully, with Bass being one of the more easy-to-find and catch fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players should be able to complete duties like this one in no time.

Every one of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s fish can be caught only in certain locations and within either open water or a specific color fishing pool. There are numerous fish which are caught in similar circumstances, meaning that players fishing for a certain type of fish will often have just as much of a chance to catch fish other than the one they’d like. This makes completing these tasks extremely frustrating.
