Disney Dreamlight Valley presents a world where players can not only meet their favorite Disney characters but also partake in various activities with them. The game centers around leveling up friendships with a diverse cast of characters by completing their Friendship Quests. "What Home Feels Like" is one of the Friendship Quests for Elsa.
To complete this quest, players need to help Elsa settle in the valley by cooking her a couple of meals and completing a few other objectives. Here's how players can complete the What Home Feels Like quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete What Home Feels Like
In order to make Elsa feel at home, players decide to cook her some dishes that would remind her of her home. Elsa will like the plan, give a recipe book to players, and tell them that she needs Dandelion Syrup. In order to make it, players will need to gather one Lemon, five Dandelions, three Garlic, two Onions, and one Empty Vial.
Collect the Required Ingredients
Pick lemon from the lemon trees in Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust. As for the Dandelions, players can find these yellow flowers in the Plaza. If they can’t find five of these flowers initially, they can wait a while for them to respawn. The next ingredient, garlic, can be foraged from the Forest of Valor biome. To collect onions, visit Goofy's Stall in the Forest of Valor and purchase the onion seeds for 50 Star Coins.
Prepare an Empty Vial at a crafting station using Glass, Sand, and Coal. Glass requires 15 Sand and three Coal Ore. Collect Sand from anywhere around Dazzle Beach. Just like that, Coal Ore is also easily available everywhere in the valley. Craft three Glass first and then use them to make an Empty Vial. After gathering all these ingredients, players should get back to Elsa.
Catch Glittering Herring and Make Fish Pie
Upon receiving the ingredients, Elsa will brew the Dandelion Syrup and give it to players. She will then task them with catching a Glittering Herring fish. This special fish is one of the four ingredients required to make Fish Pie. To catch it, players will have to head to the ponds in Glade of Trust but only on rainy days. What players need to do is wait till it rains.
When it rains, equip the fishing rod and aim at red bubbles to catch the required fish. In order to craft this unique variant of Fish Pie, players will need one Wheat, one Butter, the Dandelion Syrup, and one Glittering Herring.
After collecting Glittering Herring and Dandelion Syrup, collect wheat from Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow. Purchase wheat seeds, sow them, and harvest them once the plant sprouts. After that, go to the pantry section in the Chez Remy to purchase the last crucial ingredient for Fish Pie, butter. Put all the ingredients in the cooking pot and prepare the Fish Pie.
Make Arendellian Pickled Herring
Consult the recipe book from Elsa and check the ingredients required to prepare Arendellian Pickled Herring. To make this meal, players will need to gather one Herring (non-glittering), one Lemon, one Onion, one Garlic, and either Basil or Oregano.
Collect Herring from Dazzle Beach or Glade of Trust biomes. Lemon can be found growing on its trees in the Forest of Valor. Onion can be grown from its seeds, which are available for purchase at Goofy's Stall in the Forest of Valor. Just like Lemons, Garlic also grows in the Forest of Valor. Basil and Oregano, the spice-type ingredients, are available in Peaceful Meadow and Plaza.
Bring the Dishes to Elsa
Return to Elsa and present her with the delectable dishes, Fish Pie, and Arendellian Pickled Herring. Upon receiving the meals, Elsa will be delighted and tell players that the dishes remind her of Arendelle and her newfound friends.
During the conversation, she will recall a long-forgotten memory, a chest that she helped players bury near the Ice Cavern. However, she can't remember what was inside the chest and requests players to retrieve it.
Find the Chest and Place the Purple Crest
To find the mysterious chest, go to the Ice Cavern and look for a shiny spot to the left of the entrance. That's the spot that players need to dig. Upon unearthing the chest with their Royal Shovel, players need to open it and pick up two items that drop out of it; purple crest and Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring.
Upon collecting the chest items, players should return to Elsa and deliver the Arendellian Extra Pickled Herring to her. During the conversation, she will give a jar to players as a gesture of appreciation. Finally, place the purple crest onto the mural at the back of the Ice Cavern and have one final conversation with Elsa to conclude the "What Home Feels Like" quest.
