In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players explore a world populated by favorite Disney characters, undertaking various tasks, quests, and daily activities. These efforts deepen relationships and enhance life both in the Valley and on Eternity Isle. The game also features core life sim elements like fishing, mining, and farming.

While designed to offer a relaxing gameplay experience, Dreamlight Valley does encourage players to focus on certain daily activities for an optimal and progression-focused experience. For example, some tasks have time constraints or are only available on certain days. Keeping track of these can help players make the most of their time in the game. Here's a guide to the daily tasks players should prioritize in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Complete Tasks That Raise Friendship With Villagers & Critters

Developing friendly bonds with the residents of Dreamlight Valley is a crucial element of its gameplay. Increasing a character's Friendship Level unlocks new quests and rewards, such as unique furniture and motifs. Completing specific daily activities will contribute to increasing Friendship levels with characters. If you’re looking to enhance your bonds with particular characters, be sure to complete these tasks each day:

Have a Daily Discussion With Every Villager

Having a daily discussion with a villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

You can have a conversation with each character once daily to gain 500 Friendship points. Once Friendship with a character is maxed out, points from further conversations are still technically earned but don't contribute to their already full bar. You can talk to that villager again after 5:00 AM local time the following day.

Gift Villagers All Three Daily Favorite Gifts

Giving a villager his daily favorite gift in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

You can offer gifts to villagers at any time to increase Friendship. With each new day, each villager will have a list of their "Favorite Things of the Day." Gifting these specific items grants bonus Friendship points, adding 1,500 Friendship on top of the regular amount earned for that gift, which varies between 10 and 1,000 Friendship points. Each favored gift can be given once daily to receive the bonus, with the list of preferred items resetting at 5:00 AM Local Time.

You can also view all characters’ daily favorite items by navigating to the "Characters" section in the Collections menu and hovering over a character's profile, which is extremely helpful when collecting gifts to hand out to multiple villagers.

Serve Villagers in Remy’s Restaurant (Twice Daily)

Many of Dreamlight Valley's residents will stop by Remy’s Restaurant twice daily, with each character having two designated times they will visit. During these visits, they'll show a need for a particular meal, indicated by a bubble over their heads. Serving the requested meal earns Friendship points based on the meal's quality, plus a bonus. The character schedules at Remy's Restaurant, both in the Valley and on Eternity Isle, are identical.

A character can be served at only one Chez Remy location for Friendship points; it doesn’t matter which. Additionally, they will stay at either location until their scheduled departure time or if you choose to take them as a companion.

Feed A Critter Their Favorite Food

Dreamlight Valley is home to various wild critters like squirrels and foxes, each available in many different colors and unlockable as companions through feeding. Every species prefers a specific food, and offering this food boosts their affinity for you. It's important to note you can feed only one critter of each species per day for a reward, making it strategic to choose which ones to feed, prioritizing those not yet unlocked as companions.

Critters have very specific spawn days and times, meaning it’s important to keep an eye on this schedule to ensure no opportunities to feed a specific critter are missed. Some critters are rarer than others, offering only a small window of time in which they can be befriended. Feeding critters daily not only helps in unlocking them but also rewards you with pouches containing motifs, Memory Shards, and a variety of crafting materials and ingredients, with these rewards available once daily for each critter type.

Complete Collecting and Shopping Tasks

Players looking to fill out the Collection categories in Disney Dreamlight Valley should prioritize daily tasks focused on obtaining new items. The majority of items, including furniture, clothing, and other décor, are available from Scrooge's Store, which updates its stock daily, though there are a handful of collectibles that are obtained through other methods. Therefore, to fully complete the Collections tab or stock up on items that best fit your decorating style, you’ll want to stay on top of these tasks.

Find and Open Daily Blue and Green Chests

Blue Moonstone Chest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Every day at 12:00 AM Local Time, two chests will spawn in a random biome: a Green Chest and a Blue Chest. The Blue Chest is of special importance, as it contains 50 Moonstones, Disney Dreamlight Valley’s paid currency. Green Chests will typically contain Star Coins, a Furniture Pouch, or a Clothing Bag. Gold Chests can occasionally spawn confined within a removable objective, such as large rocks, but they are not guaranteed daily.

Only three chests of each color can be spawned at any one time. If you have not collected any of the three chests, new chests of that color will not spawn until you have opened at least one of these chests. Therefore, it’s important for the player to check the Valley, and Eternity Isle if you’ve purchased A Rift in Time, to locate available Blue Chests within this three-day period to ensure you don’t miss out on free Moonstones.

Purchase All Unowned Items in Scrooge’s Store

Buying out Scrooge's Shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Scrooge’s Store updates its inventory daily at 8:00 AM UTC, which is adjusted to your local time. Each day, a new selection of items, including furniture, clothing, wallpaper, and more, is available for purchase. Additionally, Disney Dreamlight Valley's multiplayer feature allows you to visit other players' villages to see and purchase items from their version of Scrooge’s Store, as the daily inventory differs for each player.

To identify items not yet owned, look for a red circle on the price tag when facing an item; no circle means you already own that item. While Scrooge will resell furniture items you already own, he only offers clothing, flooring, and doors not already your collection. After acquiring all available of these types of items, they will no longer be stocked, leaving those areas of the store empty.

Order the Maximum of 25 Items From Scrooge’s Catalog

Ordering from Scrooge in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Players can reorder any furniture items they have obtained by purchasing or via quests and events by speaking with Scrooge McDuck. Scrooge will allow players to order up to 25 items each day. This limit includes each individual item, so purchasing multiple of the same item will count per item toward the limit. This is not necessary to do but is extremely helpful for players looking to obtain multiples of certain items for their decorating desires.

Purchase Prince Eric’s Crafting Blueprint (if necessary)

Eric's blueprint table in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Once the player has unlocked Prince Eric as a villager, by completing the quest “Poor Unfortunate Prince,” they can craft a special map table during a subsequent quest “Back on the Waves.” Once the table has been constructed, players can visit Eric’s Castle each day and purchase a special crafting blueprint by interacting with them on the tabletop. Initially, he will sell one blueprint each day, but after completing his Level 10 Friendship quest “The Mystical Crystal,” the player can upgrade the table, so he will sell two blueprints each day.

There are a total of 14 crafting recipes that can be unlocked in this way, and once the player has obtained a blueprint, it will not respawn. Therefore, the player is able to unlock these blueprints in a relatively short period of time and will no longer need to visit the table once all 14 crafting recipes have been obtained.

Complete Daily Gathering Tasks

There’s also a small selection of daily tasks you can complete to collect various materials, ingredients, and additional rewards with next to no effort. These tasks primarily involve visiting certain buildings you’ve unlocked and placed throughout the Valley to collect the resources they offer.

Clear Night Thorns and Splinters of Fate

Night Thorns in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Every day at 5:00 AM Local Time, 10 Night Thorns will spawn in a random biome. For those who own the A Rift in Time expansion, 10 Splinters of Fate also appear in a random biome on Eternity Isle. Each biome has a capacity limit of 20 Night Thorns or Splinters of Fate. Once this limit is reached, no more Night Thorns will spawn in that biome until the player removes at least 10. Eliminating Night Thorns (and Splinters) will reward you with items, notably Dream Shards and unique Memory Shards.

Collect Fish From Moana’s Boat

Moana's Boat in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

After completing Moana's Level 2 Friendship quest titled "Fixing the Boat," you'll be able to place and upgrade Moana's Boat. This structure allows you to collect a free, random assortment of fish throughout the day. Initially, Moana catches one fish every 30 minutes. However, by investing Star Coins to upgrade the boat to its maximum level (11), the interval between catches is greatly reduced, and the capacity of the boat increases. At its highest level, the boat catches a new fish every 6 minutes and can store up to 20 fish simultaneously. Additionally, upgrading the boat enhances the chance of catching rare fish types, such as Fugu and Kingfish.

Collect Crops From WALL-E’s Garden

Wall-E's Garden in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Completing WALL-E's Level 2 Friendship quest, "Village Project: The Garden," unlocks WALL-E's Garden. Here WALL-E will plant random seeds that you can harvest once a day. Investing Star Coins in the garden enhances its capacity, eventually enabling WALL-E to plant up to 30 crops daily. He will plant new seeds at 1:00 PM Local Time each day, and you can collect the crops after 5:00 AM the following day.

Collect Flowers From Beast’s Greenhouse

The Beast's Greenhouse unlocked in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Unlocking The Beast’s Greenhouse requires reaching Friendship Level 10 with The Beast and completing the quest "A Gift in Crimson." After placing the Greenhouse in the Valley, players can collect various flowers he has grown at different times of the day.

Like Moana’s Boat, upgrading the Greenhouse increases item slots and the speed of item spawning. At higher levels, there's a greater chance of finding Red Roses, exclusive to the Greenhouse.
