Disney Dreamlight Valley's The Laugh Floor Update welcomed Monsters, Inc.'s legendary scarers-turned-jokesters Sulley and Mike Wasowski, giving players the opportunity to invite these two great guys to move into Dreamlight Valley. As players strengthen their bond with these characters through daily interactions, they will unlock new quests and rewards. Here's how players can unlock and complete Sulley's Friendship Quest "Villager of the Month" in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start the Quest "Villager of the Month"
The Disney Dreamlight Valley quest "Villager of the Month" unlocks upon reaching Friendship Level 4 with Sulley and after having completed his previous Friendship quest, "Monster Movie Night." Players can reach Friendship Level 4 easily by giving Sulley his gifts, including his favorite items and others, including flowers.

In the Disney Dreamlight Valley quest "Villager of the Month," Sulley wants there to be a Villager of the Month Award, like the Jokester of the Month awards given at Monsters, Inc. and wants your help in making it a reality. He has three potential candidates lined up, and asks you to speak with Mike, Ursula, and Donald about the friendly competition.
Speaking with each villager will start their own quest in which you’ll help them prove that they are deserving of the prizes. You can speak with the villagers and complete their quests in any order, so long as all three are finished. We recommend starting with Mike’s quest, as it will potentially take the most time due to its requirement of both planting and harvesting vegetables.
How to Complete "Villager of the Month: Mike"
Mike wants to prove to Sulley that he is deserving of the Villager of the Month title by preparing a dish called Hodgepodge a la Monstropolis. You’ll be helping him, of course, first by planting and harvesting fresh vegetables. You won’t be able to use vegetables you’ve stored away for this step; they must be grown fresh from seeds.
- Two Carrots – Purchase Carrot Seeds at Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow. Carrots take 15 minutes to grow.
- Two Corn – Purchase Corn Seeds at Goofy’s Stall in Dazzle Beach. Corn takes 12 minutes to grow.
- Two Bell Peppers – Purchase Bell Pepper Seeds at Goofy’s Stall in Forest of Valor. Bell Peppers take 15 minutes to grow.
You won’t be able to proceed in Mike’s quest until all three vegetables have been harvested, so you can switch over to start Ursula or Donald’s quests while you wait. You can also speed up the process using a Miracle Growth Elixir the very first time you water the plants, causing them to grow instantly, but this won't be necessary if you work on the other quests instead.
Once you have harvested the vegetables, bring them to Mike. He expresses some confusion regarding the recipe and asks you to consult Remy, who advises that the key ingredient for Hodgepodge a la Monstropolis is Fresh Compost.
You’ll find two dirty piles of Fresh Compost outside Chez Remy, which you can then pop into to prepare the Hodgepodge a la Monstropolis using his kitchen. The recipe is right at the top of the list; make two servings and bring them to Mike. Doing so completes Mike’s quest.

How to Complete "Villager of the Month: Donald"
Speak with Donald Duck, and he’ll share his plan to clean up trash around Dazzle Beach and ask you to take his photo while he works. Head to the beach and you’ll see large piles of Trash, including wood and metal structures.
Walk near one of the piles and Donald will show up, ready for the photo. Use the Royal Camera to take a photo of Donald near the trash pile. You can take all three photos next to the same trash pile, so do this and speak with Donald afterward.
Donald thanks you for taking the photos and, as thanks, gives you the opportunity to clean up the piles of Trash yourself. He hands over an upgrade to the Royal Shovel which is automatically applied, enabling it to remove the trash piles.
There are a total of 8 piles of Trash to find and remove from the beach using the Royal Shovel. Once you’ve cleared all the Trash, return to Donald. He hands over a heavily doctored version of one of the photos you took and asks you to bring it to Sulley as proof of why he should be named Villager of the Month. Sulley doesn’t fall for Donald’s trick, completing the quest and essentially taking Donald out of the running.
How to Complete "Villager of the Month: Ursula"
Ursula sees the friendly competition as the perfect opportunity for free advertising, and asks you to make magic Perfume, each with special ingredients to make it appeal to a certain villager. She asks you to collect the following ingredients:
- Six Seaweed – Fished in any open water.
- Three Purple Hydrangeas – Found in Dazzle Beach.
- Six Purple Rising Penstemons – Found in Peaceful Meadow.
- Three Empty Vials – Crafted from three Glass.
Once you have the ingredients, head to any Crafting Station and craft three Perfume of the Sea Enchantment. The recipe is found in the Functional Items category. Bring the Perfume to Ursula and she will mix in the mystery ingredients, then ask you to bring Perfume to Merlin, Mike Wasowski, and Goofy. Once you’ve delivered all three, return to Ursula to complete her quest.

How to Complete the Quest "Villager of the Month"
Once you’ve completed all three characters’ subquests, return to Sulley. Sulley declares that he has decided the winner of the Villager of the Month competition. It’s not Mike. He asks you to break the news to Mike, gently, so seek out the little green guy and let him down softly. Mike is let down, but uses his disappointment to fuel his motivation to win next month’s award.
Return to Sulley and let him know that Mike will be okay. Sulley thanks you and has one more task for you. He reveals that you’ve been named Villager of the Month, and hands over an Award Stand for you to place anywhere in the Valley. Open the Furniture Menu and place the Villager-of-the-Month Award Stand, which triggers a short ceremony photo op. Speak with Sulley to conclude the quest “Villager of the Month” and you will receive the Villager of the Month Award indoor decor.
