While many Disney Dreamlight Valley players have done all there is to do in the game and are waiting for more content to be added, like the upcoming release of The Lion King’s Simba, others are continuing to grind away within their Valleys. Whether they are gathering the resources needed to craft some gorgeous areas or working on the Star Path, there are a handful of things that most will be doing on a daily basis.

While there are some obvious things to do like fishing at orange spots when they appear or collecting goodies from WALL-E’s garden and Moana’s boat, there are a few things that are deeper cuts. However, this does not make them any less essential, as sticking to these unwritten rules guarantees that Disney Dreamlight Valley players will make a lot of money and optimize the amount of resources they get in every single play session.

Disney Dreamlight Valley may offer dozens of vegetables to plant, but none can compare to Pumpkins when it comes to the sheer value of a single crop. Though they take longer to grow than most vegetables, players will find themselves getting hundreds of thousands of coins for a large batch. Because of this, Disney fans do not have to waste their time planting other crops unless they need them for a quest. An unwritten rule is to plant and water a massive field of pumpkins before hopping off for the day, reaping the rewards in the next play session and repeating the process.

Similarly, though there are dozens of delicious-looking foods to bake and cook in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players only really need to bother with one if they are not serving residents in Remy’s restaurant. As proven by the Disney Dreamlight Valley statistics released by Gameloft, Berry Salad is the go-to meal for players, with the main reason being that it provides a ton of energy for very little work. Once players have opened up the different regions of the map, they can run to the three different berry bushes to collect some of each type. Then, one of each berry will result in a Berry Salad, a meal that instantly fills up energy bars.

Emptying Scrooge’s Stock of Clothes in Disney Dreamlight Valley Every Day

While Scrooge’s shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley is based heavily around RNG, and players can do nothing to guarantee a more desirable lineup of furniture items, they can sway the clothing into their favor. This is because Scrooge will not offer duplicates in his shop, so if players purchase all the furniture that they see, they will eventually force rarer items like hairstyles to spawn in the shop. While this takes some time, meaning that players have to be dedicated to buying clothes every day, the payoff is worth it. If players keep up with pumpkin planting, they will likely not have to worry about running out of money, either.

The last unwritten rule is arguably the most obvious, but one that players may either forget to do or simply choose not to do after forgiveness. Still, if gamers are planning to go on a big fishing adventure or do a ton of mining, bringing a villager with an expertise in those areas along for the fun is important. This is especially true with farming in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as players can get a lot more pumpkins or other crops if they have the right partner tagging along with them.

Though there are other unwritten rules, like feeding Disney Dreamlight Valley’s wildlife every day to tame them or keeping an eye on the favorite gifts of those living in the Valley, the rules listed above are some of the most essential ones to follow. With nothing in-game telling players to constantly buy clothes whether they want them or not, or to choose Berry Salad over other food, this information could prove very useful for those who do not already know it.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
