The Disney Dreamlight Valley quest, The Power of Knowledge, unlocks upon reaching Friendship Level 7 with Sulley and having completed his previous Friendship quest, Villager of the Month. Players can reach Friendship Level 7 most efficiently by having daily conversations, giving him his favorite gifts, and serving him meals at Chez Remy.

In The Power of Knowledge, Sulley shares his desire to initiate a teaching lesson on the subject of electricity. He decides to ask Vanellope to be his first student, mentioning that her own energy reminds him of his Monsters, Inc. friend, Boo.

How to Craft the Lemon Clock

For the inaugural lesson about the wonders of electricity, Sulley asks you to assemble a Lemon Clock. To craft the Lemon Clock, gather the following materials:

  • 10 Lemons – Foraged from Lemon Trees, which grow in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust biomes.
  • 2 Iron Ingots – Refined at a Crafting Table using 5 Iron Ore + 1 Coal Ore per 1 Iron Ingot. May also be sold by Kristoff's Stall.

Once you have collected these materials, head to a Crafting Station, where you'll find the recipe for the Lemon Clock listed under the "Functional Items" category. Craft the Lemon Clock, then deliver it to Sulley. He is confident that Vanellope will be fascinated by it and immediately sets off to show her the clock, albeit with a somewhat flawed explanation of its function and the broader concept of electricity.

Players will join hand with Mike and other villagers to establish a comedy club in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Sulley quickly realizes the need to reassess his educational methods after Vanellope departs, leading him to propose a more engaging approach that may resonate with her: through a video game. He reminisces about a game used during training at Monsters, Inc. and suggests retrieving the Frightcade Game from the Monsters, Inc. Realm.

Remember, you can teleport to the Realm using the Fast Travel option from the map menu. However, the Fast Travel menu cannot be used to exit a Realm.

Where to Find the Frightcade Game

Once inside the Monsters, Inc. Realm, head through the unlocked door leading to the reception area, where you previously retrieved the Green Soda for Mike Wasowski during the duo's first quests. Next to the machine is an arcade cabinet which you’ll need to pick up, then exit the Realm and return to the Valley to find Sulley waiting.

How to Make the Dreamlight Magic Arcade Game

Sulley is surprised to find that the game doesn't work, though he quickly attributes the issue to its reliance on Laugh Energy in the Realm, in contrast to the Dreamlight Magic that powers much of the Valley’s activity. To adapt the game to utilize the Valley's energy, you'll need to collect the materials necessary for its conversion:

  • 6 Gold Ingots – Refined at a Crafting Station using 5 Gold Nugget + 1 Coal Ore per 1 Gold Ingot. May also be sold by Kristoff's Stall.
  • 5 Purified Night Shards – Made at a Crafting Station using 5 Night Shard + 1 Dream Shard per 1 Purified Night Shard.

After creating both materials at a Crafting Station, a new recipe becomes available. This recipe allows the use of these items, together with the Frightcade Game, to craft the Dreamlight Magic Arcade Game. Once the conversion is complete, bring the game back to Sulley. He'll then ask you to set it up in the Valley. Place it anywhere you’d like, then inform Sulley once the machine is operational, which triggers a second rendezvous with Vanellope.
