Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players the opportunity to reside alongside a plethora of adored Disney characters, engaging in daily activities and embarking on quests that deepen their bonds. Among these beloved characters is The Lion King's Simba, whom players can unlock and establish a friendship with within the enchanting valley.
Inspired by the celebration of his birth at Pride Rock, Simba has decided to throw a grand get-together in Disney Dreamlight Valley and needs the player's help. Here’s everything players will need to do to ensure “The Great Gathering” for Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a huge success.
How to Start the Quest “The Great Gathering” in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In order to begin the quest "The Great Gathering" in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players must first make sure that they have welcomed Simba from The Lion King into the valley. Additionally, they need to nurture their friendship with Simba until it reaches Friendship Level 4, which is the key to unlocking the quest. The player can raise their Friendship by giving gifts, performing tasks with the villager as their companion, and by serving them meals at Chez Remy.
How to Complete "The Great Gathering" in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once the player has reached Friendship Level 4 with Simba, they can speak with him to start the quest "The Great Gathering." Simba expresses his heartfelt desire to bring the residents of the valley together, and asks for the player's assistance in bringing everything together to ensure it will be a fantastic celebration enjoyed by its attendees. The first set of tasks involves deciding on and preparing the menu for the event.
Seek Assistance from Remy
Simba starts off by expressing his desire for the perfect delectable dishes to share at the event and requires the assistance of the village's own top chef, Remy. The player should make their way to Remy's location, where he eagerly offers the perfect recipes to satisfy even a lion-sized appetite.
Prepare Aurora's Cake and a Large Seafood Platter
Remy provides the player with a list of the first four ingredients for Aurora's Cake. However, the final ingredient remains a mystery (it's Sugarcane). Gather the required ingredients for Aurora's Cake based on the following recipe:
- 1 Wheat - Grown from seeds or purchased from Goofy in Peaceful Meadow.
- 1 Egg - Purchased from Remy’s shop inside Chez Remy.
- 1 Milk - Purchased from Remy’s shop inside Chez Remy.
- 1 Fruit (Any) - Gathered from trees or bushes in any biome.
- 1 Sugarcane - Grown from seeds or purchased from Goofy in Dazzle Beach.
In addition to Aurora's Cake, Remy suggests creating a delectable Large Seafood Platter as the main course for the celebration. He provides the player with a recipe book that outlines the required ingredients for this dish, which are:
- 4 Seafood (Any) - Includes Clam, Oyster, Scallop, Squid, Lobster, and Shrimp, obtained by gathering or fishing on Dazzle Beach and other biomes.
- 1 Lemon - Gathered from trees in Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust.
Once the player has collected all the necessary ingredients, proceed to any cooking station available in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Use the cooking station to prepare both the Aurora's Cake and the Large Seafood Platter.
Present the Dishes to Simba
The player should return to Simba once they have skillfully prepared the dishes and present these mouth-watering delicacies to him. Simba will be pleased to have these delicious contributions to the celebration and moves on to the next step of party preparations.
Invite the Right Villagers
Simba expresses his desire to ensure the event attracts the perfect attendees for an unforgettable gathering. The player will share their thoughts on the type of individuals to invite, and Simba suggests inviting Goofy, Minnie, and Maui. Seek out each of these residents and extend the invitation on behalf of Simba.
Place the "No Worries" Banquet
After successfully inviting the guests, return to Simba, who will reward the player with the "No Worries" Banquet furniture. To place this object, open the Furniture menu and locate Simba's portrait. Select the banquet table and choose any suitable location within the Valley. Placing the table will commence Simba's magnificent gathering. The guests will all gather around the banquet table and pose for joyous photographs.
The "No Worries" Banquet furniture item is not permanently unlocked and will disappear after the quest is completed.
Attend to Simba's Forgotten Plans
As the banquet concludes, Simba realizes he had previously planned to spend time with Nala and scout for food to support the animals in the valley. Simba suggests growing carrots for the rabbits, which the player agrees to do, and suggests also feeding some of the wild critters.
Feed the Critters and Grow Carrots
Embark on a mission to find and feed any five critters within the Valley. Additionally, grow nine Carrots for the rabbits, though these should not be fed to critters. The player can purchase Carrot Seeds from Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow. While it is not mandatory to feed each critter their favorite food, doing so will help foster stronger friendships and eventually unlock them as companion pets.
Report to Nala and Simba
Once the player has successfully fed the critters and grown the carrots, they need to locate Nala and explain the situation to her. She deeply appreciates the assistance and assures the player that she will speak with Simba regarding the situation. Return to Simba and receive his heartfelt gratitude for the player’s invaluable aid. Simba acknowledges his growing recollection of his role in the valley, marking the completion of the quest “The Great Gathering.”
