Hidden quests are a frequent addition to any of the latest updates to Disney Dreamlight Valley. From the mysterious Gold Potato to hidden characters like Stitch and Mirabel, there are all sorts of things for players to discover.
The Pride of the Valley update for Disney Dreamlight Valley just came out, and it added all sorts of secrets for players to discover. Some of these secrets lead to small Friendship Quests that provide helpful rewards for players upon completion. One good example of these quests is 'Secrets & Schemes'. This guide will show Disney Dreamlight Valley players how to find and complete this hidden quest.
How to Start 'Secrets & Schemes'
Just like with the quest to unlock Mirabel and Stitch, players can only start this new quest by finding an item on the ground. Go to the Glade of Trust and look for a pond near Goofy's Stall. Right next to the small pond will be a piece of paper glowing with sparkles. Upon picking this item up, players will get the quest 'Secrets & Schemes'.
Talk to Merlin
Open the map and look for Merlin's current location. Go there and speak to him in order to show hin the document. Merlin is pleased that players found his notes, as he has been looking all over for them. From there, he tells Disney Dreamlight Valley players that he is concerned about the actions of both Mother Gothel and Ursula.
Apparently they have been meeting every day, and he suspects that the two characters are up to no good. Merlin already knows that they will be meeting again at the Glade of Trust, but that it won't be until the following day.
After speaking with Merlin, the quest will update. Players will have to wait until the next day for the quest to advance. Do not try to time travel, as this can corrupt the save file and potentially force players to start a new game.
Spy On Ursula and Mother Gothel
Once the next day has begun, head to the Glade of Trust and look for Mother Gothel and Ursula. While the two villains are talking, players can simply stand there and listen. Hiding is not required. After a while, the conversation will end and players will be prompted to speak with Ursula.
Talk to Ursula
Ursula is surprised to see players listening in on the conversation, and quickly realized that it was likely Merlin who put them up to it. She reveals that Mother Gothel had a pest problem, and that she was giving her potions to ward them off.
Return to Merlin
Once the conversation with Ursula ends, return to Merlin. He is surprised to learn that the two villains were not doing anything suspicious or evil. As a reward, he gives players some Dreamlight.
