Disney Dreamlight Valley has a vast catalog of furniture, clothing, and accessories that players can collect. While select items are exclusive to Star Path events or the in-game Premium Shop, the majority of these items can be obtained by shopping at Scrooge’s Store. The game features a Collections tab in which players can check which Clothing and Furniture they have collected, and see the total number of furniture in each category.

Scrooge’s Store offers fair prices on a different assortment of items each day. Dreamlight Valley features over 1500 pieces of furniture and over 900 articles of clothing and accessories, so for players looking to complete their catalogs, visiting Scrooge’s Shop once a day is a must. Here’s everything players need to know to make the most of their shopping trips in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Open Scrooge’s Store

Before the player can access Scrooge’s Store, they must complete the quest "Making Cents of Things." This quest initial series of Main Story quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley and can be started by speaking with Scrooge McDuck in the Plaza.

To repair and open his store, the player will need to interact with the blue “locked” sign in front of the store and pay 1000 Star Coins. The player can earn Star Coins by clearing Night Thorns in the accessible biomes and by selling crops and other materials at Goofy’s Stall, the first of which is unlocked by locating Goofy and completing his quest “Fishing Expedition.”

Once the player has unlocked Scrooge’s Store, they will be able to browse and purchase from a fixed assortment of items on the store’s first day of business. After that, Scrooge will offer a random assortment of furniture, clothing, and accessories. Scrooge’s Store remains open at all times, and Scrooge McDuck will not leave the store.

How to Upgrade Scrooge’s Store

Upon its opening Scrooge’s Store will offer a variety of items the player can purchase with Star Coins. The shop can be upgraded twice, with each updating its exterior appearance while also adding space for new furniture and clothing stock, increasing the number of items the store will sell on any given day. Here’s what changes with each upgrade to Scrooge’s Store:

It can be costly early on to purchase the upgrades to Scrooge’s Store. However, doing so will unlock new, larger furniture that players can purchase for their homes and as exterior decor, so it’s definitely something players will want to prioritize, especially if they are excited to decorate their homes and the rest of the Valley. They'll also want to check daily to score some great items for participating in DreamSnaps competitions to earn weekly Moonstones, the game's paid currency.

How to Shop at Scrooge’s Store

Once the player has unlocked Scrooge’s Store they can visit every day to check out the new assortment of items he has for sale. Each item will have a price that is displayed when the player is facing the item. There also may or may not be a red dot at the corner of the price tag. This dot indicates whether the player already owns this item.

The presence of the red dot indicates that it is an item that the player does not own and has not cataloged. When the red dot is absent, it means the player already owns the item. Scrooge will not resell a clothing item the player has already purchased. Therefore, once the player has purchased all possible clothing from his store, those spaces and the mannequins in his store will remain empty.

When Do Scrooge’s Store Items Reset?

Scrooge’s Store will reset each day at 8 AM UTC (1 AM PST / 4 AM EST) and its stock will be changed with new daily inventory. If the player is inside the Store when this reset happens, they will have to exit and reenter the shop before the items will change.

Ordering From Scrooge’s Catalog

The player can purchase only one each of the items Scrooge has for sale on a given day from the sales floor. If they would like to purchase more of that same furniture or decor item, they can speak with Scrooge McDuck and order any previously purchased item. Scrooge’s Catalog also features a default stock of furniture and clothing items which players are able to order.

The default Clothing options will disappear from the catalog as the player orders them, until eventually the category is completely empty, and no further clothing orders can be placed, as duplicate clothing cannot be purchased. Scrooge’s default stock of furniture is always available for reorder. Players are unable to order crafted furniture from Scrooge’s Furniture Catalog.

When ordering from the Catalog, the player can select and purchase up to 25 items each day. The prices are the same as when the item was originally purchased, and when bought items are immediately added to the player’s Furniture or Clothing collection. The player can see how many of a specific piece of furniture they own by checking the Furniture menu and looking for a number at the top corner of the furniture’s icon, indicating their currently held quantity, which is the total number that can be placed.
