Disney Dreamlight Valley players have been vehemently trying to solve the mystery of the Golden Potato and now have uncovered potatoes of other colors. Each of these colorful potatoes has a secret quest that leads to a potion of the same color, but few are more mind-numbing than the Orange Potato secret quest. While it's entirely possible to discover all the steps needed to get the Orange Potato and its matching potion alone, it would likely be a maddening endeavor. Thanks to the concerted effort of players online, this mystery has been solved and can now be completed much more quickly and easily.
For those that aren't aware, there are various colorful potatoes, each of which has its own secret quest and leads to a mysterious potion item. Unlike most quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there is no quest log entry and no in-game guide telling players where to go, what to do, or even what to look for. It's entirely up to the player to solve the mystery.
Starting the Orange Potato Secret Quest
In order to start the Orange Potato Secret Quest, players need to do a few things first. For starters, they must have already claimed the Golden Potato from Scrooge McDuck's Store. What's more, they'll need to have found Mickey's secret room in the Dream Castle and completed Scrooge's level 10 friendship quest to get the Lenses of Shadow.
After doing all this, players can finally get started trying to get the Orange Potato. To do this, head into Mickey's secret room, and players should find a map on the table with an image of the Lenses of Shadows in the corner.
Finding Orange Pebbles
Players need to equip the Lenses of Shadow they get from completing all of Scrooge's friendship quests and find 20 Orange Pebbles. These items are very small and hard to see, and to make matters worse, they don't sparkle like most items in the game do. The only thing that makes finding these pebbles somewhat easier is that if players get close to them, they will be prompted with an interact button followed by three question marks. The 20 Orange Pebbles can be found in the following locations:
- 3 in Mickey's Secret Room
- 3 in Dream Castle
- 1 in Remy's Realm
- 4 in Moana's Realm
- 2 in WALL-E's Realm
- 3 in Frozen's Realm
- 4 in Toy Story's Realm
Orange Pebbles in Mickey's Secret Room
So long as the player has the Lenses of Shadow equipped, they will be able to find three Orange Pebbles inside Mickey's secret room in Dream Castle.
The first pebble is to the left of the door in front of the couch.
The second pebble is to the right of the bookshelf that opens into another hidden area in the back of the first room.
The third pebble is in the second room on the other side of the bookshelf. Place the Conspicuous Book on the bookshelf, head through the doorway, and turn left. The Orange Pebble is on the floor next to some barrels.
Orange Pebbles in Dream Castle
The next three Orange Pebbles are in the main area of Dream Castle.
The first pebble is behind the pillar to the left immediately after players enter the castle.
The second pebble is on the third-floor balcony behind the large pillar (this is the floor above the Toy Story realm).
The third pebble is on the top floor between a potted plant and the leftmost blocked-off realm door.
Orange Pebble in Remy's Realm
There is only one Orange Pebble to be found in Remy's Realm.
This pebble can be found in the back of the kitchen to the right of Remy's cart full of peanuts.
Orange Pebbles in Moana's Realm

Players will find four of the 20 Orange Pebbles scattered throughout Moana's Realm. The map in Mickey's room hints at where these pebbles are located.
The first pebble is right behind the entrance at the tip of the sandbar that players spawn in on.
The second pebble is by the campfire next to Moana's boat.
To find the third pebble, walk past Moana's boat and continue heading in that direction until reaching the shore. The pebble is behind a large cluster of rocks and palm trees next to the shore and near a banana tree.
The fourth and final pebble in this realm is up the hill in the grass, making it particularly difficult to see. Go to the furthest point of the hill where the lookout is and turn around and walk straight back. The pebble is to the left of the palm tree, bending over the path.
Orange Pebbles in WALL-E's Realm
The next two pebbles are found inside WALL-E's Realm.
The first pebble is in the very back between the red crafting table and the broken fridge.
To find the second pebble, follow the perimeter of the realm clockwise, pass the stack of trash cubes, the bathtub full of plants, and another pile of trash cubes. The pebble is in front of a broken road next to one of the trees players planted for WALL-E's first quest.
Orange Pebbles in Frozen's Realm
There are three pebbles to be found in the Frozen Realm as well.
The first pebble is behind the large stone pillar, second from the right.
To find the second pebble, head towards the area where the player made Stone Soup for the sleeping Earth Giant, but turn left instead of heading into the rocky area. Run down the forested path and look behind the first pile of rocks blocking the player's path. The pebble is behind these rocks.
The final pebble in this realm is at the very end of the realm, past the ice bridge. This pebble can be hard to spot, but it is underneath the area where Gale is flying around.
Orange Pebbles in Toy Story's Realm
The last four pebbles players need to find all 20 are in the Toy Story Realm.
To find the first pebble, turn left immediately after entering the realm and look behind the red backpack.
The second pebble is in the closet. Enter the closet where players found one of Bonnie's drawings for the Toy Story Realm quest and turn left; players should find it in the corner.
Head to the other side of the room and look for a blue book with music notes on it sitting on the floor in the back right corner. The third pebble is right next to this book.
To find the final pebble, turn around from the book and head to the right side of the bed. It can be found on the floor near where the blanket is draped over at the foot of the bed.
Crafting the Orange Potato and Obtaining the Orange Electrifying Potion
After players have painstakingly collected all 20 tiny Orange Pebbles, they can head to any crafting table to make an Orange Potato. This item is located in the Functional Items tab and requires only the 20 Orange Pebbles players should already have found.
After crafting the Orange Potato, open the crafting menu to the Functional Items tab again. Players should see an option to craft an Orange Electrifying Potion using the Orange Potato and an Empty Vial. At the moment, no one knows what this Orange Electrifying Potion is for. It undoubtedly is connected in some way to the other potions made from the other colored potatoes, but it's unclear how.
