Each character in Disney Dreamlight Valley offers a unique quest series that is gradually unlocked though raising Friendship with that character. The player can raise their Friendship by completing various tasks around the village with the villager in tow, by serving them meals at Remy's Restaurant, giving them their favorite items each day, and by having daily conversations with them. They will also gain Friendship by completing these quests once unlocked.
Quite a few popular characters from the Disney animated film Frozen have been added to Dreamlight Valley, including Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and the lovable snowman Olaf. Each of these characters offers their own unique quest series that the player can undertake by continued development of their relationship with that character. Upon reaching maxing this bond with a character, by reaching Friendship Level 10, the final quest of their series becomes available. How To Start The Quest “Olaf Presents… Dreamlight Valley”
The quest “Olaf Presents… Dreamlight Valley” is available upon reaching Friendship Level 10 with Olaf and after having completed his previous Friendship quest, “The Role of a Lifetime.” This quest series also requires the player to have reached a certain progression level with Donald Duck. Whether these criteria have been met is indicated in the quest menu, and the quest will remain Locked until the appropriate advancement has been made.
How To Complete The Quest “Olaf Presents… Dreamlight Valley”
The time has come for Olaf to make his final preparations for his play based on the epic tale relayed by Donald Duck. To complete this quest, the player must gather items needed to craft stage scenery for the play, craft a costume, rehearse lines, and finally assemble and place the stage. Here is a walkthrough for completing the quest “Olaf Presents… Dreamlight Valley.”
Collect Materials For And Craft Cutouts
The player's first task is to construct props for setting the stage. To do so, the player needs to collect the following materials:
- 12 Dry Wood - Foraged in Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands
- 4 Green Passion Lily - Gathered in Frosted Heights
- 2 White Impatiens - Gathered in Forgotten Lands
- 2 Orange Marsh Milkweed - Gathered in Glade of Trust
Once the player has gathered the required materials, they should head to a crafting station, where a new recipe for the quest item, Cutouts, has been added to the “Furniture” crafting category. Once the player has crafted the Cutouts, they should return to Olaf.
Collect Materials For A Donald Duck Mask
After handing over the Cutouts, the player is asked to speak with Anna regarding the costumes she is preparing for the show. She has not had time to finish the Donald Duck outfit and requests help with crafting the perfect mask. To do so, she’ll need the player to gather these items:
- 15 Fiber - Crafted using Seaweed (1 Seaweed = 5 Fiber)
- 6 Softwood - Gathered in Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust
- 3 Fabric - Crafted using Cotton (5 Cotton = 1 Fabric)
- 4 Donald’s Feathers - Collected in Donald Duck’s Home
The player should then return to Anna with these items in their inventory. Unfortunately, the mask she crafts, following Olaf’s specifications, doesn’t fit her, leaving Olaf without someone to cast in the starring role. Olaf is devastated and asks if the player is willing to take on the role of Donald Duck. The player happily agrees to take on this challenging part; after all, how could they disappoint the polite little snowman.
Equip The Donald Duck Mask And Practice Lines
The player should then equip the silly Donald Duck mask. They can do so by opening the inventory and selecting the Wardrobe tab. At the top of the list they will find a “Requests” tab featuring an icon showing Olaf. Click this button then select the Donald Duck mask to put it on. With the Donald Duck mask equipped, speak with Olaf again to practice Donald’s lines for the performance. The player can select any lines and Olaf will not be upset, but each prompt offers obvious answers that are most fitting to Donald Duck.
Place The Stage In Frosted Heights
Once the player has rehearsed with Olaf, they need to head to the Frosted Heights and place the Stage furniture object anywhere in the biome. For this task, open the Inventory then Furniture menu, and again there will be a “Requests” tab at the top. Click on Olaf’s portrait and select the Stage, then place it anywhere in the Frosted Heights.
After placing the Stage, a brief cutscene will trigger giving the player the opportunity to take a photo with the residents who have come to watch the performance. Afterward, they should speak with Olaf, and he will give the player the permanent Stage furniture and the Permafrost Cloud furniture, his final Friendship rewards, completing the quest “Olaf Presents… Dreamlight Valley."
