Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players the opportunity to experience a wonderful life alongside many beloved Disney characters including Elsa from Frozen and Simba from The Lion King. Players can perform various tasks around the valley like decorating and collecting raw materials for crafting new items. Dreamlight Valley also features a plethora of quests that players can tackle to help out the village’s residents and get to know them better.
One of the residents that players have the chance to befriend is the Fairy Godmother. Here’s everything there is to know about the quest “The Lost Book” for the Fairy Godmother in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start the Quest “A Lost Book” in Disney Dreamlight Valley
“The Lost Book” is a quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley that becomes available upon reaching Friendship Level 4 with The Fairy Godmother. Players can raise Friendship with characters by giving them their favorite gifts, hanging out with them while performing their companion role task, and by serving them meals when they stop by Chez Remy. Players who are impatient to reach these new quests can also raise Friendship by gifting flowers of any kind, though be aware that it will take a lot of flowers.
How to Complete ”A Lost Book” in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once the player has reached Friendship Level 4 with The Fairy Godmother, she will offer the player the quest “A Lost Book.” As expected, she has misplaced a book that another valley resident, Merlin, had lent to her. She wants to prioritize looking for the book and needs the player’s help with completing various tasks for other residents in her stead. Players who agree to help are given three tasks to complete:
Cook a Pumpkin Soup for Anna
Anna is feeling under the weather and the Fairy Godmother wants the player to prepare a nice hot bowl of Pumpkin Soup to lift her spirits. The Fairy Godmother will give the player a recipe book that teaches them how to cook this recipe, but this is an older recipe that the player may have already discovered. Here are the materials needed to prepare the Pumpkin Soup:
- 1 Pumpkin - Grown from seeds or purchased from Goofy in Forgotten Lands
- 1 Ginger - Gathered in the Forgotten Lands
- 1 Milk - Purchased from Remy’s shop inside Chez Remy
- 1 Vegetable (Any) - Grown from seeds purchased anywhere
Once the ingredients have been collected, simply head to any cooking station and prepare the soup for Anna. Bring it to Anna, and she will thank the player for their assistance in her recovery.
Collect 100 Sticks for Olaf
The Fairy Godmother asks the player to fulfill a strange request from Olaf, the lovable snowman from Frozen. Olaf is in need of 100 sticks, though he won’t explain why. He teases that he is planning a super secret task that will utilize these sticks, so that may be something players will experience in a later update. He will accept any quantity of any type of stick to reach his goal of 100. However, it’s best to simply provide him with Softwood as it is by far the most common to find.
Collect 3 Amethyst for Ursula
Finally, The Fairy Godmother’s third task is to bring three Amethysts to the sea witch Ursula. She wants Amethysts specifically and will not accept Shiny Amethyst. The player has a chance to gather Amethyst from mineral veins located in the Forgotten Lands and Frosted Heights biomes.
Once the player has performed all three of these tasks, they should return to The Fairy Godmother, who is still puzzled about the location of Merlin's book. The player will follow her into her home which is suddenly overrun with piles of junk. Clear out the piles of junk, which will uncover Merlin’s missing book.
The Fairy Godmother asks the player to return the book to Merlin’s library on her behalf. Simply head over to Merlin’s house and, immediately upon entering, head to the bookshelf on the left wall and interact with it. Once Merlin’s book is back in its rightful place, head back to The Fairy Godmother to complete the quest.
