Disney Dreamlight Valley welcomed multiplayer in late 2023, right before the holidays, bringing the ability to travel to your friend's Valley and trade resources with them that they can use to craft items or complete quests. This is an especially nice feature if a newer player has started the game and has some friends who have stocked up on quite a bit of material.
While many players have hoped we'd be able to trade furniture and clothing items - including Star Path items - within the game to our friends, sadly, that isn't possible. How To Trade With Your Friends In Dreamlight Valley
For those who wish to trade items with their friends, you'll need to get into a multiplayer session. Sessions allow up to four players into one Valley, meaning you and three others can be in one session at a time. However, they are welcome to come and go as they please, making room for more friends to come over as they want to.
After joining your friend in their Valley - check out our guide on how to get started in multiplayer - you can decide what resources you want to give your friend. Doing this is fairly simple. Just by opening your inventory, players can choose to "Drop" an item, which will then take it out of your inventory and place it down on their Valley. This is a very easy way to trade resources.
Basically, all resources and materials can be traded to your friends, so if your friend is in need of some Dry Wood, you can easily choose to drop some down for them to pick up and use for crafting items for their Valley. In addition, your friends can also come to your Valley and drop items for you to gather and use to complete quests or craft items for your house and Valley.
If you want to be an even bigger blessing to your friends in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can even drop items around their Valley that are helpful without them knowing for them to find later.
