Dreamlight Valley is full of recipes for players to discover and cook, but some of them are a bit more difficult to figure out than others. Recipes like Leek Soup pretty much tell players everything they will need in the name, but Walleye en Papillote is a bit more enigmatic. Players wanting to make this recipe can probably figure that Walleye will be one of the ingredients, but after that, there's not much to go on. This meal is great for restoring energy and can be requested as a gift or an order from Chez Remy, so players would do well to add it to their recipe book.

Walleye en Papillote translates to Walleye in Paper French. It is a method of cooking things, often fish, that uses a sheet of folded-up paper to retain steam and cook the food. Dreamlight Valley players don't have to worry about all this, though, as all they need to do is throw the right ingredients into the pot and press cook.

disney dreamlight valley walleye en papillote energy and star coins

The primary purpose of all recipes in Dreamlight Valley is to restore energy. Eating Walleye en Papillote will restore at least 3,689 energy, more if players add in an additional fifth ingredient. Alternatively, the meal can be sold for 1,700 Star Coins if players are in need of some quick money. It's also possible that villagers will request this dish as a favorite gift one day or as a meal order from Chez Remy.

Another often overlooked use for meals is as a form of decoration. If players drop a meal out of their inventory, it retains its appearance and can be placed on tables and the like. This is a great way to make a room look lived in or bring some extra life to a picnic table in the valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
