Disney Dreamlight Valley whisks players away with a variety of over 200 tantalizing recipes to craft, using ingredients they can obtain via farming and foraging. Nearly all of these culinary creations utilize ingredients which can be found all year round; however, there are a few recipes which require seasonal ingredients that are obtainable only during special events.

One such recipe is the Spring Chocolate, which was introduced with the game’s spring Eggstravaganza celebration. This annual spring event, which debuted in April 2023, showers the valley with an array of uniquely colored eggs and special bushes which, strangely, also sprout eggs. Here’s what players need to know about making the seasonal dessert Spring Chocolate in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Cook Spring Chocolate

Preparing the Spring Chocolate recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The preparation of Spring Chocolate entails the use of three ingredients. Two of these ingredients can be obtained year-round through regular gameplay. However, the remaining ingredient is one that players are able to grow only after crafting seeds using materials that are exclusively during the Eggstravaganza event. The ingredients for this special dessert are:

  • 1 Spring V-EGG-etable
  • 1 Cocoa
  • 1 Sugarcane

When consumed, Spring Chocolate restores 1392 energy. Alternatively, the player can sell this prepared dessert at Goofy’s Stall for 254 Star Coins. Preparing this dessert also fulfills one of the criteria to complete “Spring Taste Test,” an event-specific Dreamlight Duty which rewards the player with the Spring Tableware furniture item upon consuming the three seasonal recipes.

Sugarcane can be grown using seeds purchased from Goofy's Stall in Dazzle Beach, making it an easy ingredient to obtain with a little farming. The challenge in crafting this recipe lies in gathering the event-specific ingredients.

Spring V-EGG-etables are technically still obtainable after the Eggstravaganza has ended, provided players have remaining Wild Spring Egg and Egg-cellent Fruit gathered during the event. These two ingredients can be used to craft Spring V-EGG-etable Seeds, which are planted, nurtured, and harvested like any other crop in the game.

However, the Wild Spring Egg and Egg-cellent Fruit required for crafting the Spring V-EGG-etable Seeds can only be found during the Eggstravaganza celebration. Wild Spring Eggs can be discovered scattered across various biomes, while the Egg-cellent Fruit sprouts on bushes throughout the valley during the event.

Given the limited availability of the seasonal ingredient essential for crafting of Spring Chocolate, the player might have to postpone making this delicious dessert, delaying completion of the associated Dreamlight Duty and entry in their Collection until the Eggstravaganza event returns the following year.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
