Gumbo is a five-star recipe that is classified as an entree in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In order to make Gumbo, players will need one Okra, one Tomato, one Onion, one Chili Pepper, and one Shrimp. Since the recipe for Gumbo requires very specific ingredients, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will not able to use substitutes like they can with recipes like Fish Pasta. Attempting to use other ingredients will result in making a different recipe all together, and in the worst case scenario ingredients can be wasted.

Okra is a crop that players can either grow themselves from seeds or purchase it from Goofy's Stall in the Glade of Trust. Tomato is an ingredient that can be either grown by players or purchased from Goofy's Stall in Dazzle beach. Onion can only be purchased as either seeds or as fully grown produce from Goofy's Stall in the Forest of Valor. Just like with the previous three ingredients, Chili Peppers are an ingredient that are purchased from Goofy's Stall in the Sunlit Plateau.

The fourth and final ingredient is Shrimp, which can only be found in Dazzle Beach. The tricky part about Shrimp, however, is that they can only be caught in certain locations, As Disney Dreamlight Valley players search Dazzle Beach, they should look for blue circles in the ocean. These spots are where players can catch Shrimp with the Fishing Rod. If there are no blue circles, players can fish from the other circles and a blue circle will eventually spawn.

Alternatively, if Disney Dreamlight Valley players are having a hard time getting a blue circle to spawn they can potentially get Shrimp from Moana's boat. In order to have this option, however, players must have completed the quest to fix Moana's boat.

Gumbo restores 2,226 Energy if Disney Dreamlight Valley players choose to eat it. While this is certainly a higher amount of energy restored than many lower star recipes, there are better options when it comes to restoring energy with food.

Beyond that, Gumbo has a chance of being a daily favorite item for one of the Disney characters. It can also show up as an order at Remy's restaurant. In both cases, giving Gumbo to Disney characters is a good way to get bonus experience for that character.
