Vitalys Crystals are a rare material in Disney Dreamlight Valley that have a very powerful effect. These items were added into the game with its first major update, but many players tend to overlook them after their first introduction. It's important for players to know what Vitalys Crystals are, how to get more of them, and how to use them to enhance tools. Although they are rare, they aren't particularly difficult to get as long as players have advanced far enough in the story to unlock the Vitalys Mines.
Disney Dreamlight Valley players can unlock the Vitalys Mines by playing through the Sunlit Plateau's story line. To do this, they'll need to first clear the story for the other biomes: the Plaza, Peaceful Meadows, Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, and the Glade of Trust. With all of these completed, make sure the Sunlit Plateau is open and do quests for Scar until the Vitalys Mines are available.
How to Get Vitalys Crystals
As the name would imply, Vitalys Crystals can only be obtained in the Vitalys Mines of the Sunlit Plateau. They work similarly to Gems in that the final hit that breaks a rock spot in the mines will have a chance to yield a single Vitalys Crystal. Players who need a lot of them should bring a level 10 Mining buddy, as they will occasionally give players an extra Vitalys Crystal. It's best to do this after unlocking the shortcut in the Vitalys Mines, as this allows players to repeatedly make their way around the loop. Use a map of the Vitalys Mines to help prevent getting lost.
How to Use Vitalys Crystals
Vitalys Crystals are used in all Miraculous Potion recipes. This includes Miracle Growth Elixir, Miracle Fishing Bait, Miracle Pickaxe Polish, and Miracle Shovel Varnish, as well asthe Even More Miraculous variants of those four potions. Players can combine 10 Vitalys Crystals, 500 Dreamlight, and 5 or 10 of an additional ingredient depending on which potion the player is making (Rich Soil, Red Algae, Onyx, Dry Wood) to make one Miracle Potion. The Even More Miraculous Potions require 20 Vitalys Crystals, 1,000 Dreamlight, and 10 to 20 of the additional material.
Each of these Miracle Potions temporarily enhances the player's Royal Tool. The Miracle Growth Elixir makes the Royal Watering Can cause any crop to grow immediately when watered. The Miracle Fishing Bait turns all bubbles into golden bubble. The Miracle Pickaxe Polish allows the Royal Pickaxe to break any rock spot in one hit. Finally the Miracle Shovel Varnish enchants the shovel to dig up many extra rewards.
