Gameloft’s Disney Dreamlight Valley takes place in a fascinating world filled with iconic Disney and Pixar characters. Like most life simulators, players can make lots of recipes and collect a variety of materials as they progress through the game. However, some materials can be hard to obtain, and oftentimes, they share spawn locations with other materials, such as coal and stones. Shiny Garnet is one of those materials.

Where are Shiny Garnets Found in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Shiny Garnets can be found in two regions in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Plaza
- Peaceful Meadow.
Luckily, both these areas can be accessed pretty early in the game, and players won’t have to shell out their hard-earned Dreamlight to unlock them. However, it is noteworthy that the path to Peaceful Meadow is blocked by giant rocks, so players will have to clear them with the Pickaxe in order to unlock the biome.
How to Get Shiny Garnets in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The first step is to get the Pickaxe, which can be found in the Plaza. To get the Royal Tool, players will need to go to the southeast of the Plaza. There, they will find a large staircase near the well and the Pickaxe stuck in a glowing rock next to it. Picking it up will shoot a beam of light upwards and clear the fog.
With the Pickaxe in hand, head to the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow and find the dark rocks with red gems. Once found, start smashing them with the Pickaxe. With almost every strike, players will get a resource. Of course, players won’t get the Shiny Garnet every time they mine a rock. More often than not, it will be coal or stone, which are also useful.
Rocks may also drop the ordinary Garnet, as they are also found in the same location as their shiny counterpart. With a bit of patience and luck, Dreamers will be able to get Shiny Garnets. It would be a good idea to bring along a character with the mining role, as they may grab an extra gem each time players find one.
Since Shiny Garnets are rare gems, they have a high selling value. They can be sold at Goofy’s Stall for 640 Star Coins, but most Dreamers prefer gifting them to other characters to level up friendships.
