How to Get Iron Ore in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Of all the biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, only Plaza and Peaceful Meadows are unlocked at the start of the game. Unfortunately, Iron Ore is not found in these already unlocked biomes. Instead, it is available in the following biomes:
- Sunlit Plateau
- Forest of Valor
- Glade of Trust
- Frosted Heights
- Forgotten Lands
Iron Ore is found on the edges of the rock spots in the aforementioned biomes. To mine it, players will need the pickaxe, a royal tool, which can be found near the well in the Plaza. With the royal tool in hand, head to the rock spots in the aforementioned biomes and start smashing rocks. These rocks also contain a variety of other minerals, such as gems, stones, and coal, which are also useful.
Of course, players won’t get Iron Ore with every strike, so they should be patient and keep swinging until it drops. It would be a good idea to bring along a companion with a mining role, as they can help players get extra Iron Ore with every successful strike. It is important to note that Iron Ore can also be found on the ground, but unlike most materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it does not respawn after it is collected.

After obtaining Iron Ore, players can use it in different ways. For starters, it can be gifted to villagers to increase friendship levels with them. It can also be sold at Goofy’s Stall, though its selling price is relatively low at only 10 Star Coins. Apart from that, Iron Ore is a vital material ingredient in a few crafting recipes, including Iron Ingot.
