Progressing in the vast world of Disney Dreamlight Valley will result in meeting new characters and helping them to solve their problems. One of the characters is Elsa from Frozen, who requires Saviors’ assistance in helping her feel more at home.

Once the What Home Feels LikeQuest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is activated, the Ice Queen will ask for a particular ingredient that only appears under specific conditions: Glittering Herring. This fish looks like any normal Herring, but it contains a special component that’ll help Elsa recover her forgotten memories by preparing an unusual Fish Pie.

Updated on April 20, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Special materials are often part of a long Quest given by certain characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and Glittering Herring is one of them. The fish is requested by Elsa to make a special dish that reminds her of old times to make her feel more at home in the village. Another variation of the Dreamlight Valley Glittering Herring is the normal Herring that's caught in certain Biomes using the Fishing Rod. Players will benefit greatly from the normal fish as it can be used in more recipes than that Glittering type, and there are characters that sometimes request some of these dishes.

Where To Find Glittering Herring In Disney Dreamlight Valley

To find Glittering Herring in Disney Dreamlight Valley players must follow Elsa’s instructions and try to catch the fish in Glade of Trust on a rainy day. Sadly, the weather cannot be controlled in the game, so Saviors are forced to wait for this specific weather.

The moment it starts to rain, they should head to Glade of Trust and fish at any spot in the river. It's worth noting that fishing at the sparkling red/orange ripple is more likely to reward rare fish like the Glittering Herring. Once the ingredient is acquired, players can use any available stove to cook Elsa a Fish Pie.

Normal Herring

Unlike the Glittering Herring in Dreamlight Valley, the normal Herring isn’t that hard to find and doesn’t require any specific climate to appear. The small fish can be found in two locations; Dazzle Beach, which requires 1,000 Dreamlight, and Glade of Trust, which calls for 5,000 Dreamlight. Once players are in the desired Biome, try to find a white ripple to fish a Herring out of it. The only downside of the normal Herring is that it’s not the only fish rewarded from the white ripple, so Protagonists might need to fish a couple of times until one is caught.

Another difference between both Herrings is that the Glittering one can be used in a handful of recipes while the normal Herring is used in many.

How To Cook A Fish Pie In Disney Dreamlight Valley

To cook a Fish Pie, players need to collect the following ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

• Dandelion Syrup can be cooked by combining multiple ingredients.
• Butter can be purchased from Remy's Pantry at Chez Remy Restaurant.
• Wheat is bought as Seeds from Goofy's Stall at Peaceful Meadow.
• Glittering Herring caught on a rainy day at Glade of Trust.

When the Fish Pie is complete, players should cook Arendellian Pickled Herring afterward. Once both dishes are ready, they can hand them over to the Ice Queen to help her recover the missing memories.

How To Make Dandelion Syrup

At the beginning of the What Home Feels Like Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Elsa will ask Saviors to collect Dandelion Syrup’s ingredients to cook it together, as the syrup is required to make a Fish Pie. The materials are:

• Lemon is found in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust.
• Dandelions can be collected from the Plaza
• Garlic is found in the Forest of Valor.
• Onions can be bought as Seeds or ingredients at Goofy's Stall in Forest of Valor.
• Empty Vial can be crafted at a Crafting Station using three pieces of Glass, which are made by collecting Sand in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Make Arendellian Pickled Herring

To make the Arendellian Pickled Herring, players will have to gather the following ingredients:

• Herring can be caught at Dazzle Beach or Glade of Trust.
• Lemon is available in Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust.
• Onions are found at Goofy's Stall in Forest of Valor.
• Garlic is collected from the ground in the Forest of Valor.
• Any Spice available like Oregano from the Plaza or Basil from Peaceful Meadow.
