The village in Disney Dreamlight Valley consists of many biomes. In these biomes are a wide variety of resources that players can gather, and some of them are exclusive to specidic biomes. The longer it takes to unlock a biome, the more valuable and versatile the resources are. One such example is clay.
While not exactly being an endgame iten, clay is not something Disney Dreamlight Valley players are able to get right away. This guide will show players what they need to do to unlock one of the biomes where clay, can be found along with what it is used for.
What Biomes Can Clay Be Found In?
There are only three biomes where Disney Dreamlight Valley players can get clay. These biomes are Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands. Of these three biomes, the first one that players will get access to is the Glade of Trust.
Depending on what biomes players have unlocked at that point, there may not be much for players to do there, but simply unlocking the biome is enough. Aside from completing the quest to restore the Pillar of Friendship, players will not need to do anything else to get clay. However, bringing some food along will help restore some energy while gathering the resource.
How to Get Clay
Once Disney Dreamlight Valley players have unlocked one or more of the biomes that clay can be found in, they will be able to gather the resource to their heart's content. But the game does not specify how players must go about doing that. In order to obtain it, players simply need to start digging with their trusty shovel. The drop rate is not as bad as Dreamlight Shards, so it won't take too long for players to get plenty of clay if they are patient enough.
With the wall of mushrooms blocking the bridge in the Glade of Trust, players will only have access to barely half of the biome. While this will limit how much ground players have to dig for a chance at getting clay, it is certainly a good start for getting this particularly resource.
What Is Clay Used For?
Clay is used primarily for crafting, mainly for crafting bricks. Once Disney Dreamlight Valley players have crafted a single brick with five Clay and one Coal Ore, more recipes will unlock. One such recipe is an Iron Spike and Brick Fence, which requires three bricks. Another item that can be crafted with Clay are Flower Pots, which can be used to decorate the village.
Since there are quite a few quests with a crafting related objective, it is recommended that players stock up on clay and/or bricks to save time down the road.
