Much of the player's time in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be spent gathering up materials and ingredients to craft or cook into something new. Discovering new ingredients is always exciting, but sometimes it can be difficult to tell how to find a specific ingredient, what it does, or how to grow it. Chili Pepper is an ingredient that isn't available until a bit later into the game, leaving many players wondering how to unlock them so they can create new recipes. They also have a good balance of time to profit when sold purely as a cash crop, making them valuable for this as well (though not nearly as valuable as Dreamlight Valley's Pumpkins).

All vegetables in Disney Dreamlight Valley can be purchased as seeds from one of Goofy's stalls. Naturally, players must first unlock the area in which each seed is sold and then upgrade Goofy's stall until he starts selling the seed. Players also need to consider how long a crop like Chili Peppers takes to grow, how often it needs to be watered, and what to do with it.

Chili Peppers can only be found in one specific biome, that being the Sunlit Plateau. This is a somewhat late-game area, as even though it can be unlocked directly from the Plaza, its hefty price tag may make players reconsider unlocking it first. To clear the Large Night Thorns blocking the path to the Sunlit Plateau, players need to spend a whopping 7,000 Dreamlight. Once there, be sure to have some Star Coins saved up, find Goofy's stall, and spend 3,000 Star Coins to repair it and unlock Chili Pepper Seeds. An infinite number of Chili Pepper Seeds can be purchased at 20 Star Coins per seed.

Dreamlight Valley - Chili Pepper Growth Time, Watering Needs, and Harvesting Tips

Chili Peppers take 45 minutes to grow and only need to be watered once, making them a very low maintenance Dreamlight Valley crop to grow. Though they only produce one Chili Pepper when harvested, players can bring along a Gardening Companion to increase the amount of Chili Peppers they get from each harvest. It's also worth noting that Chili Peppers will grow 10% faster when planted in the Sunlit Plateau (fully grown in 40 minutes and 30 seconds instead).

Chili Peppers are specifically required by six different recipes, though this may change as future Disney Dreamlight Valley updates roll out and add new recipes to discover. Players can also use Chili Peppers any time a recipe calls for "Any Vegetable." Eating a Chili Pepper raw restores 140 Energy, and they can be sold for 78 Star Coins each. This makes the profit margin of each seed 58 Star Coins per seed.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
