There are a lot of different materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and they vary widely in how difficult they are to obtain. Stone is one of the easier materials to get, considering it only requires the player to unlock the Royal Pickaxe and start mining. Even so, if players find themselves needing a lot of Stone all at once, they may be wondering whether there's an easy and quick way to get it. While there's no super efficient hack to gathering a ton of Stone fast, there are some things players can do to speed up the process.
Stone is an important ingredient in the recipe for many paths, and is also needed in order to complete certain quests. Disney Dreamlight Valley players will end up with a lot of stone simply by playing the game, completing duties, and participating in Star Paths, but if all that stone is sold instead of stored, more may be needed later.
How to Mine Stone Fast
Stone can be found by breaking rocks with the Royal Pickaxe. This works on rock spots that can contain gems, the light gray rocks that are found throughout the Valley, and on the giant rocks. Players should not mine Sea Debris (the blue rocks on Dazzle Beach) or Ice (in the Frosted Heights) if they are looking for Stone, as these yield Sand and Snowballs respectively.
After mining all the light gray rocks in the valley, the best thing to do is simply pick a biome or two and run in between all the rock spots in those biomes mining Stone. This will net the player some Gems as well.
Best Biome to Mine For Stone and Other Tips and Tricks
Picking a biome to mine in depends on what the player needs. If Stone is the only concern, then it is best to mine in either the Plaza, the Peaceful Meadow, or Dazzle Beach. Rock Spots in these biomes only drop Stone, Coal, or Gems, whereas all other biomes have a chance of dropping Iron Ore, Gold Nuggets, or Crystals. If there's a particular Gem or Ore players want to get while they are farming Stone, pick the biomes that provide that material instead.
It's also vital that players bring along a companion that has the Mining role, preferably one that is level 10 Friendship. Every time the player mines a rock spot, their companion will have a chance to provide them with more Stone, Coal or Gems. The higher level Friendship the companion has, the more materials they will find.
