Crafting is a way for players to use all the different resources and items they pick up around the village. To craft, they need to have a crafting station. One can be found in Scrooge McDuck's store, and another is outside Goofy's house in the Peaceful Meadow. Players can also make their own at a crafting stations and place them all over the valley for easier access.

The needed materials to craft a Signpost are ten pieces of Softwood. Softwood will be found lying next to trees and bushes in almost all the Biomes, especially the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. It looks like a bundle of sticks on the ground. The crafting recipe for signposts is found under the Functional Items tab, and all players need to do is click "Make" to build and add signposts to their Inventory.

Like other furniture, signposts can be placed anywhere in the valley as long as there is space. Players can find all their owned furniture in their Inventory by clicking "X" on consoles or "I" on Pc. Everything is categorized or found in one general menu; signposts are under the Decor category. Custom signposts are perfect for labeling storage chests or rooms. If players place a signpost behind a chest, they must approach from the side to interact with it.

When they interact with the signpost, the player can choose a symbol for the sign to display. There are icons for fish, flowers, mining, digging, and many more, so players can find the perfect one for whatever they need. The display symbol on signposts can be changed at any time by interacting with it again.
