Most of the tasks in Disney Dreamlight Valley's new star path lay out exactly what players need to do in order to complete them, but Festive Dreamlight Duties such as "Cookie Taste Test" are a different story. Before players can complete these, they first have to discern what the duty actually requires by taking a guess at what the name means. "Cookie Taste Test" promises players a holiday-themed Dreamlight Valley reward for completing it, so it's only natural that players refuse to let mystery stand in their way of completing this Festive Dreamlight Duty.

Festive Dreamlight Duties were added to Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of the most recent update titled Missions in Uncharted Space. Players can complete them to earn festive clothing to wear and furniture items to decorate the valley with. For those wondering how to complete "Cookie Taste Test," it's actually quite simple, assuming players have some ingredients stored up.

The hidden requirement to complete "Cookie Taste Test" is simply to eat three different kinds of cookies. It's important that players don't try to eat three of the same kind of cookie, as the duty requires that each cookie be unique from the others.

While this sounds simple, there are currently only four cookie recipes in the game, and players that don't have those recipes may feel stuck when it comes to trying to complete this duty. The four recipes that satisfy this Dreamlight Duty are Biscuits, Chocolate Chip Cookies, My Hero Cookie, and Minnie's Gingerbread Cookies.

Cooking any of these recipes will require players to gather up all the ingredients and spend one coal to light the stove. These are the recipes to make each of these cookies:

  • Minnie's Gingerbread Cookies (Wheat, Ginger)
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies (Wheat, Butter, Cocoa, Sugarcane)
  • My Hero Cookie (Wheat, Butter, Any Sweet Ingredient)
  • Biscuits (Wheat, Sugarcane, Butter)

Wheat can be purchased from Goofy's stall in the Peaceful Meadow, Sugarcane comes from his stall on Dazzle Beach, Cocoa can be harvested from trees in the Sunlit Plateau or the Glade of Trust, Ginger is foraged in the Forgotten Lands, and Butter can be purchased from Remy's restaurant. The sweet ingredient can be cocoa, sugarcane, vanilla, or anything else in that tab on the cooking menu.

After eating three of these cookies, players can claim their reward in the Village tab of the Dreamlight Duties page. For completing this duty, players will earn Festive Candy Ears, a set of adorable Peppermint Mickey Mouse Ears. They go great with many of the clothing rewards from the Festive Star path.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
