Disney Dreamlight Valley offers a wide array of recipes giving players the opportunity to prepare a variety of delicious meals. These meals can be consumed by the player to recover energy, sold at Goofy’s Stall to earn Star Coins, and gifted or served to residents of the Valley to increase their Friendship with the player. Among these dishes is the Salad, a simple yet nutritious recipe that requires just a few basic ingredients. Let's explore the process of preparing Salad in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Make Salad in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The recipe for Salad in Disney Dreamlight Valley is straightforward, requiring just a single, unsurprising ingredient: Lettuce. If the player decides to add different vegetables to the mix, they can create a variety of specific Salad recipes including a Tasty Salad or Hearty Salad. However, to craft just a regular Salad, this is the only ingredient the player needs:

  • 1 Lettuce

Preparing a single head of Lettuce will result in the creation of a delicious Salad. This one-star dish restores 56 energy points, the mechanic necessary for completing various tasks throughout the valley. If the player decides to sell the Salad at Goofy's Stall, it fetches a mere 8 Star Coins.

How To Get Ingredients For Salad

This simple Salad's sole ingredient, Lettuce, is readily available in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as players can buy Lettuce Seeds from Goofy’s Stall in the Peaceful Meadow right from the start of the game. Each bag of seeds costs 12 Star Coins and will produce 1 head of Lettuce when harvested. If the player chooses a companion with the Gardening role, this yield can increase.

While the Salad is an easy-to-make recipe, it’s generally not worth crafting unless necessary for a villager’s request or to easily fulfill a Duty for a Star Path. Lettuce can be used in any recipe that requires a non-specified vegetable, so it can serve as a cheap and easy-to-obtain ingredient for some of Dreamlight Valley’s more advanced recipes.

It’s important, however, to be careful when throwing Lettuce into a recipe, as the game features a whopping nine different recipes for vegetable salads which, as expected, all contain Lettuce. Some of these recipes are quite similar, too, such as Carp Salad and Fish Salad. The only difference in the two is that the Carp Salad recipe specifically requires Carp whereas the Fish Salad can be made with any fish. However, using Carp as the fish ingredient for the latter will result in creating the Carp Salad instead.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
