Disney Dreamlight Valley features a plethora of furniture and décor that players can use to decorate the nearly countless rooms inside their own homes along with the environment of each of the Valley and Eternity Isle’s biomes. While the majority of these items are purchased at Scrooge’s Store, where players can find a random assortment of new items each day available for purchase with Star Coins, a handful of furniture items are obtained via crafting.

To create these items, players need to head to a Crafting Station or, in the case of some specific, expansion-exclusive additions, a Timebending Table, and select any recipe they’ve unlocked. While a selection of recipes are available by default, some only unlock after the player has obtained specific materials that are one of the items required to make that item.

The Zen Garden is a crafted piece of furniture in Disney Dreamlight Valley that’s featured in the Lovely Monsters Star Path, which features a duty requiring players to craft this delightful décor. Here’s how players can build a Zen Garden in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Build a Zen Garden

Zen Garden Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Zen Garden is an outdoor décor furniture item that can be made at any Crafting Table. The recipe for this item can be found in the “Furniture” section. Crafting a Zen Garden requires the following materials:

  • 100 Stone
  • 100 Pebbles
  • 200 Sand

This represents a significant number of items for players to collect, so players may want to begin gathering the necessary materials early on. However, since none of the required items have limited availability, it is feasible to farm all these items within a single day. Players need to craft just one Zen Garden to complete the Lovely Monsters Star Path duty, "Build a Zen Garden."

How to Get Materials for Zen Garden

Players aiming to gather materials for the Zen Garden should bring along a character with the Mining companion role when collecting Stone, and a Digging companion when collecting Pebbles and Sand. The companion roles boost the quantity of drops, potentially yielding additional Stone, Pebbles, or Sand. It's important to note, however, that the Mining Companion role does not enhance yields from other objects broken with the Royal Pickaxe, such as rocks or sea debris, so players will cannot receive extra materials from those sources.

Where to Get Stone

Players have multiple ways to acquire Stone in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It can be obtained by breaking grey rocks scattered throughout the Valley's biomes using the Royal Pickaxe. Mining any mineral vein within the Valley may also yield Stone. However, nodes on Eternity Isle will not provide Stone. For more efficient resource gathering, it's recommended to concentrate efforts in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, or Dazzle Beach biomes, where the variety of possible drops from nodes is narrower. Furthermore, after unlocking Kristoff’s Stall, players can purchase a limited quantity of Stone each day.

Where to Get Pebbles

Digging for Pebbles in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The primary method to collect Pebbles in Disney Dreamlight Valley is by Digging in specific biomes. Utilizing the Royal Shovel, players can dig for Pebbles in the Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, Forgotten Lands, and Sunlit Plateau biomes. Additionally, once the inventory of Kristoff’s Stall is expanded, Kristoff will occasionally offer a limited quantity of Pebbles for purchase with Star Coins. Given the potential for this task to be time-consuming, bringing a Digging companion is advisable.

Where to Get Sand

Breaking Sea Debris for Sand in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Sand is a material that players can easily gather in the Dazzle Beach biome of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Using the Royal Pickaxe to break Sea Debris, the green coral rocks found across the beach also yields Sand. Sand can also be collected by Digging anywhere on the Beach. While it's possible to find Sand when digging in the Glittering Dunes, players should note that when digging here they will receive Glass instead of Pebbles. Therefore, focusing on Dazzle Beach is beneficial for efficiently farming both materials simultaneously.
