Disney Dreamlight Valley is a cozy game that offers players a chance to befriend their favorite Disney and Pixar characters. Exploration is the key aspect of the game as players have to collect several items from time to time, either as a part of certain quests or for crafting. The recent expansion, A Rift in Time, has brought even more materials for you to discover.

Tin is one of the newly added materials in the game, which you can use for crafting several materials. However, it can be hard to source since it’s native to only one biome on Eternity Isle. Read the following guide and learn how to get Tin in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Get Tin

Introduced as a crafting material in A Rift in Time, Tin is only available in Eternity Isle. If you need tin, you will have to head straight to the Glittering Dunes biome. Like other biomes in the game, Glittering Dunes is also initially locked. What you need to do is collect 2,000 Mist and repair the broken bridge in the Sands in the Hourglass quest. This will grant you access to this biome.

Once you are in Glittering Dunes, you can mine tin from the rock spots in The Oasis, The Plains, The Wastes, and The Borderlands areas. The Plains is the first location that you can access after unlocking Glittering Dunes. Head over there and break mining spots with the Royal Pickaxe. It’s important to note that you won’t get tin from every rock spot you mine. Therefore, to collect tin in a substantial quantity, you should break every rock spot you come across. Furthermore, you can revisit a biome after a while and gather some more tin.

As usual, you can choose a villager with the mining role and bring them along as they can help you get more tin in one go. The better your friendship level with the villager, the more tin they’ll likely gather. And remember, the game also allows you to change villager roles.

What is Tin Used For?

Tin sells for 25 Star Coins at Goofy's Stall but it’s not recommended to sell tin. This is because it’s mainly used as a crafting material for crafting many in-game materials. Some of them include Bronze Ingot, Mechanical Parts, Green Bivouac Tent, Blue Bivouac Tent, Large Black Bivouac Tent, Purple Tea Set, Orange Tea Set, and Round Orange Bivouac Tent.
