There are many different sea creatures in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but each one can only be found only in certain biomes. Whether it is to find one to gift to a villager, fishing for expensive fish to sell for extra Star Coins, or finding the right fish needed as an ingredient in a meal, knowing each biome is very important.
With the game having so many different materials and ingredients, it can be confusing to remember which ones came from what, however, this guide will certainly help in that regard. When it comes to squids, they are beautiful sea creatures in Disney Dreamlight Valley and can be used to cook meals in the game. Here is how to get squids and what to use them for.
How To Get Squids
Squid can be fished for only in two biomes, Glade of Trust, which players will unlock a little bit later on in the game, and The Forgotten Lands, which is a biome player won't unlock until closer to the end of the game, considering it takes many more steps to unlock than just 15,000 Dreamlight.
This seafood-type ingredient will be found in blue ripple pools in the water in the biomes listed above. It is a pinkish-purple squid, once fished up. Squid will sell for 500 Star Coins, while fish like Tuna only sell for 95 Star Coins. If a player fishes in these two biomes for long enough, they will collect many squid which will grant them money very quickly if sold.
How To Use Squids
This eight-armed sea creature is actually not in any meals, but it can be used in any recipe that calls for "seafood." This means that players can use squid in the place of any other seafood as a way to save other ingredients, like Tuna, that might be needed for more meals down the line.
This is one way in which the squid is unique. At the same time, having plenty of squids also allows players to then sell their stock to gain extra money, considering the ingredient doesn't have much use. There aren't a ton of items that have the unique stand of not being an ingredient specifically listed but can be used in place of another to make the same fish, such as a squid.
