The DreamSnaps update launched on July 19, 2023, and it added a useful feature that completely revolutionized how often players got to earn Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Before, fans could only get free Moonstones by searching and opening blue chests daily, but the amount that they would find inside wasn't all that impressive.
Following the update, gamers now have a better opportunity to earn free Moonstones on a weekly basis. This guide will explain everything players need to know about earning Moonstones with the DreamSnaps feature for Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Earn Moonstones by Participating
One of the ways to earn free Moonstones with the DreamSnaps feature is by participating in the weekly challenges. Each Wednesday, a new DreamSnaps challenge will become available at 1 PM UTC. Each challenge will have a different theme, and they will either be focused on furniture or clothing articles.
Gamers can earn 300 Moonstones each week simply by submitting an entry. And depending on their placement once voting closes, they can earn additional Moonstones; the top five players that week will earn over 5,500 Moonstones.
To submit an entry, players must take a picture with their phone after unlocking the DreamSnaps feature, and then they have to select Show DreamSnaps. If the picture meets all the item theme requirements, then players can press the Submit button to share their creations with the world and try to get the best placement possible.
Pictures can only be submitted as long as there are no Touch of Magic tool objects or clothing articles in them.
How to Earn Moonstones by Voting
Participating isn't the only important part of the DreamSnaps challenge; gamers must also vote for their favorite entries. This is an essential step because it'll help decide the highest-ranked players, and voting will also grant players an additional 50 Moonstones. So, with the DreamSnaps feature, fans will now be able to earn 350 free Moonstones on a weekly basis.
Players will only be able to vote for a DreamSnaps challenge once the submission phase has come to an end. This means that once a new challenge comes out on Wednesday, voting will open for the previous challenge. Fans can cast their vote by visiting the Voting section in the DreamSnaps menu of the Events tab.
Once the week comes to an end, players must check their in-game mailbox; it's here that they will be able to access their cosmetic rewards as well as their Moonstones.
