In the A Rift in Time expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley, Eternity Isle emerges as a vibrant new playground in the charming life simulation game, filled with unique quests, new unlockable characters, and more. As players delve into this uncharted territory, they're equipped with the Royal Hourglass and introduced to the magic of Timebending. This tool becomes essential in players' adventures, crucial for uncovering hidden crafting materials.

On Eternity Isle, players will once again rely on newly upgraded versions of their Royal Tools, allowing them to remove obstacles that impede their exploration and also gather all-new ingredients and materials. The Royal Pickaxe is particularly used to remove Glass Stalagmites to obtain Oasis Glass and, once again, mine rich mineral veins found throughout the biomes.

The expansion introduces a handful of new gemstones that players can discover from these mineral veins, including Evergem and Shiny Evergem. These uniquely-shaped gemstones are exclusive to a single area on Eternity Isle, making them challenging to farm. Here's everything players need to know about obtaining these two new gemstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time.

Where to Find Evergem & Shiny Evergem

Disney Dreamlight Valley location of Evergem and Shiny Evergem

Evergem and Shiny Evergem are exclusively obtained through mining in The Ruins area of the Ancient's Landing biome. While mineral veins are present throughout the biome, only those located in this small area have a chance to drop the two varieties of Evergem.

Keeping with the trend, Shiny Evergem are significantly rarer than the regular versions and will sell for a higher price at Goofy’s Stall. However, given the rarity of these gemstones due to their limited mining area, players are advised to save them for crafting and any future uses that may arise.

Gate to The Ruins in Ancient's Landing in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Ruins is the final area that players will unlock in Ancient’s Landing. To access the entrance to The Ruins, players must first unlock The Overlook area, which features a stunning display of flora and ingredients for players to gather. Players must spend Mist, A Rift in Time’s version of the Dreamlight currency, to unlock each new area on Eternity Isle. To access these regions, players must pay the following:

  • The Overlook: Players can unlock this area by interacting with the barrier and paying 6,000 Mist.
  • The Ruins: Players can unlock this area by interacting with the barrier and paying 10,000 Mist.

After gaining entry to The Ruins, players will come across mineral veins capable of yielding Evergem and, on rarer occasions, Shiny Evergem. To secure a gemstone drop, players ought to search for nodes distinguished by orange gemstones jutting out from the rock. Players will definitely want to bring a Mining companion along to get as many gemstones as they can when mining these veins.

What are Evergem & Shiny Evergem Used For

Curiously, Evergem is used in only one crafting recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time at this early point in the expansion. Moreover, this particular recipe requires just the regular version of Evergem, leaving Shiny Evergem currently without a purpose at this time. Despite its name, the Fireworks Mount isn't a "mount" in the way many players might expect; it's actually an assortment of unfired fireworks designed for display purposes.
