How to Get the Fishing Rod in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Before players can catch a Pike in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they will have to get a fishing rod. Players can get this rod as a part of "The Royal Tools" quest or "The Fishing Expedition" quest. Those who haven’t completed the quest yet will have to visit the Plaza in the Peaceful Meadows to find the fishing rod.
Fortunately, beginners can also find the fishing rod easily, as they won’t have to shell out a great deal of Star Coins to unlock Peaceful Meadows. However, it would be a good idea to find a pickaxe first since the path is blocked by giant rocks, which players must clear before they can reach Peaceful Meadows. The pickaxe can be found embedded in a rock in the southeast region of the Plaza.
Once players have found a pickaxe, they can smash all the rocks and clear the pathway to Peaceful Meadows. There, they will find the fishing rod lying at the edge of the pond.
How to Catch a Pike in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Pike is only found in Gold Pools in the ‘Forest of Valor’ biome in Dreamlight Valley. However, the biome must be unlocked first using 3,000 Dreamlight. Once it is unlocked, players can head to the Gold Pools to try their hand at fishing.
While fishing, cast the fishing rod where gold ripples appear, as these indicate the points where the Pike is likely to spawn. Upon sensing a Pike’s bite, players must press the ‘Select’ button to catch it. Dreamers can also bring along a companion with the fishing ability to improve the friendship level and catch a bonus fish. Pike can be sold for 800 Star Coins or consumed raw for 1,500 energy.
