Disney Dreamlight Valley players are steeped in holiday spirit thanks to the new Missions in Uncharted Space update, and now players can weather the cold with a delicious mug of Hot Cocoa.

Although the recipe is brand new, it is rather simple and consists of all ingredients that were previously in the game. This means players may well have everything they need to make this dessert already. Even if they don't, the ingredients are rather easy to harvest, so it won't be long before players are sipping hot cocoa next to newly lit Dreamlight Valley fireplaces.

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Missions in Uncharted Space adds Buzz and Woody as new characters, a Toy Story realm, a host of Festive Dreamlight Duties, and a brand new Festive Star Path for players to explore. On top of all of this, it also comes with several new recipes for players to discover and cook. Hot Cocoa is just one of many of these recipes.

How to Make Hot Cocoa in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Hot Cocoa is a three-star recipe, meaning players will only need three ingredients to cook it, as well as a piece of coal to light the stove.

Head to the nearest stove and throw some Milk, Cocoa Beans, and Sugarcane into the pot to make Hot Cocoa.

  • To get Sugarcane, players should head to Goofy's stall on Dazzle Beach and either buy it outright or buy some seeds and plant them.
  • Cocoa Beans can be harvested from fruit trees in the Glade of Trust and the Sunlit Plateau.
  • Finally, players can buy Milk from Remy after completing the Ratatouille realm and opening Remy's restaurant.

The drink can be consumed in order to recover 1563 energy or sold to Goofy's stall to earn 401 coins. Perhaps more importantly to players, it can be dropped and then used as decoration in the house or anywhere else in the valley.

It comes in a cute wooden mug, so it should match players' other holiday decorations wherever they choose to use it. Aside from all that, it may also be used as a gift to increase friendship levels and can even be requested by customers at Remy's restaurant.

Hot Cocoa may not be the most useful recipe when it comes to earning Dreamlight Valley's star coins, but it's still a welcome addition to a game already full of great recipes. Pair this with other new recipes like Minnie's Gingerbread Cookies or the Yule Log, and players will have themselves a veritable holiday feast.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
