Red Bugs can be found in the Jungle in The Lion King realm, where players first met Simba. To get these bugs, Dreamers will need to dig up stumps of the large tree with the shovel. As soon as they dig them up, bugs will start running around, so players will have to chase and catch them using the ‘E’ button.

Slimy Bugs

Slimy Bugs are found in the river near Nala and Simba in the Lion King realm. Simply equip the fishing rod and aim at red circles to reel them in.

Colorful Bugs

Colorful Bugs are located in the Dried-Out Oasis area in the Lion King realm. To catch these bugs, just equip the shovel and dig up the glowing digging spots.

After catching bugs, players can head to a cooking station and put them in a cooking pot to make a Bug Platter. As always, they will need coal ore to begin cooking, which can be mined from rocks.

Unlike most recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Bug Platter can’t be sold at Goofy’s Stall or given to villagers as a gift to increase friendship levels. After cooking it, players will have to bring it to Nala to proceed in the quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
