Fishing in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a fun way to earn Dreamlight, build friendships with villagers, and get rare ingredients for cooking meals. There are ponds, rivers, and an expansive ocean for players to fish in, and each area has its own native species. For example, the Walleye is a rare fish that only appears in one location throughout the valley.

Walleyes can be used in high-energy meals, sold at Goofy's stalls, or given as a gift. Its rarity makes it a valuable fish, but one that is hard to find if players are trying to build a collection. Nevertheless, there are some key tips to remember when searching for one, and this guide covers everything there is to know about finding a Walleye in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where To Find Walleye In Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Walleye fish are found in the Sunlit Plateau Biome along the river flowing through the dryer lands. This Biome is one of several locked behind giant night thorns made from dark magic. To clear the night thorns, players must spend 7,000 Dreamlight.

Dreamlight is a magical currency earned naturally as players explore the valley and its resources. Specific tasks under the Dreamlight Duties menu will earn Dreamlight when done, but mining gems and minerals, harvesting plants, and fishing result in Dreamlight. In addition, they can get Dreamlight by interacting with any of the Disney characters throughout the village.

Once Sunlit Plateau is open, players cannot fish for Walleye immediately because night thorns block the river, so no fishing circles will appear. To fix the river, they must complete Scar's friendship quest, Nature and Nurture, and restore the Pillar of Nurturing's power.

The Biome's natural state is restored after the quest, and fishing spots will pop up. Players can find Walleye in the bubbling gold circles, but they have a low spawn rate. It can be upgraded like Goofy's Stalls by spending Star Coins, and once it hits the maximum level, she will catch rarer fish like Walleyes.

Walleye is worth 1,100 Star Coins at any of Goofy's Stalls and gives players 1,700 energy when eaten raw. Some characters like Scar, Moana, and Maui may have it as one of their favorite daily gifts.
