Disney Dreamlight Valley has a bunch of crops for players to unlock and plant themselves. They can either be sold once ready for harvest or they can be turned into delicious meals that sell for even more profit. Either way, it's important to gain access to them and experiment as much as possible.

This guide will focus on one of those ingredients: soya; it can be used to make a couple of recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but it can also be planted and sold fully grown. It's an interesting resource with its particularities, and this article will go into detail regarding everything there is to know about it.

How To Get Soya Seeds

Soya seeds can only be obtained once the player unlocks the Sunlit Plateau biome. It's on the western side of the Valley, next to the plaza, up the ramp near the player's home. To clear the giant night thorns and gain access to Sunlit Plateau, the players need 7,000 Dreamlight.

Next, to get the seeds, the player has to repair and fully upgrade Goofy's Sunlit Plateau Stall. This can be pricey, so it's best to earn some Star Coins before attempting this. To repair the stall, Scrooge's fee costs 3,000 Star Coins; the first upgrade costs 7,500 Star Coins, and the second upgrade (which unlocks soya seeds) costs 15,000 Star Coins. In total, to unlock soya seeds, players need 7,000 Dreamlight and 25,500 Star Coins. Each soya seed that the player buys will cost 60 Star Coins.

How To Get Soya

soya description

As Goofy's Stall in Sunlit Plateau is upgraded, it'll rotate between a few items, and occasionally, soya will be one of them. Soya can be purchased at Goofy's Stall for 104 Star Coins; this is an extremely high price to pay for this green in Disney Dreamligth Valley, though.

Soya sells for 69 Star Coins, and each time it's planted it produces three plants per seed, which means it's definitely overpriced at Goofy's Stall. Planting soya seeds and selling them once grown can be extremely profitable: the only downside of planting this crop is that they take a total of one hour and 30 minutes to grow.

Soya can only be harvested in Wall-E's garden, but the vegetables that grow each day are completely random, so there is no way of predicting if soya will be one of them.

This is a plant that's usually grown to sell as is. It's only used in two recipes, Tekka Maki and Teriyaki Salmon, and none of them are that profitable. Disney Dreamlight Valley is still in early access and constantly getting updates, so it's possible that in the future more uses for this ingredient may arise.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
