How To Make Fugu Sushi

Fugu Sushi might sound like a complicated recipe, given the precision that goes into making real-life sushi. However, in the game, there's nothing simpler. The three ingredients in this cooking recipe are mandatory ingredients, which means they can't be switched out for other ingredients of the same type. For example, some recipes allow players to replace a fish for another fish. That is not an option for any of this recipe's ingredients.

Once the player has gotten ahold of the ingredients, all that they need to do is put them all in the pot together and cook them (even though one wouldn't actually cook them in a pot to make sushi.) These are the three ingredients that go into the cooking recipe for Fugu Sushi in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  • Fugu
  • Seaweed
  • Rice

Although seaweed is mostly used in Maki, there are a few Sushi recipes that also include it. Here's a detailed guide on how Sushi recipes work.

How To Gather The Ingredients

Three ingredients need to be acquired before attempting to cook this recipe.

Fugu

Fugu is the start of the course. Fugu can be caught in Dazzle Beach in a fishing spot with orange bubbles. However, it is only possible to catch it during thunderstorms and bad weather conditions. So, players that are planning to make tons of plates of Fugu Sushi should grind a bit during the rain and catch tons of Fugu while they can.

Seaweed

There are three ways to get seaweed. Moana will sometimes collect it when unloading her fishing boat. It will sometimes wash up on shore at the beach, or the player can catch it themselves in pretty much every body of water, by simply not aiming at the bubbles when fishing.

Rice

Lastly, rice can be purchased at Goofy's Stall in Glade of Trust for 61 Star Coins.

This is a recipe that's worth making. Seaweed is free, and rice only costs 61 Star Coins. Fugu can be sold for 900 Star Coins, so Fugu Sushi is more profitable, as it sells for 1,300 Star Coins.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
