Disney Dreamlight Valley fans should expect plenty of snow-and-sun-filled fun to come their way shortly courtesy of Frozen and Moana, with sequels for both franchises currently in the works. While characters from both Moana and Frozen already call the game’s titular valley home, it’s a safe bet that Disney and developer Gameloft will double down on content from the pair of famous franchises in the coming months. For fans of both the films and Disney Dreamlight Valley, this likely injection of new, themed content to the unique life simulation title should make for good times ahead.

Even though both franchises already have a sizable presence in Disney Dreamlight Valley, such as letting players give Moana’s denizen demigod his very own home in Maui’s Peaceful Grotto, this is likely to increase dramatically as marketing ramps up for the sequels. At a minimum, Disney Dreamlight Valley fans should expect the arrival of new Star Paths filled with unlockables for customizing their home and characters. Given the high profile of both franchises, though, Disney and Gameloft may have even bigger surprises in store for fans of Frozen and Moana.

The developers of the popular Disney Dreamlight Valley reveal a new feature that will likely be added in the game's next big update.

Themed Star Paths Could be the First Phase of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Tie-in Content

One of the most obvious ways that Gameloft could shine a spotlight on Moana and Frozen is by making the pair the centerpieces of new Star Paths events. This would give players the chance to unlock limited-time cosmetics from the films that could be used to customize their character and in-game home. While previous Star Paths in Disney Dreamlight Valley have typically been organized around general themes rather than specific Disney properties, giving the pair of sequels unique Star Path events based on the films would likely be a welcome addition for fans of both franchises.

With Moana 2 arriving in theaters in November 2024 and Frozen 3 releasing sometime in 2026, there is plenty of time for Disney Dreamlight Valley to introduce unique Star Paths for both films before they hit the big screen. And since their release dates are separated by at least a year, there’s room for a break between the two events to keep gamers from feeling like they’re being inundated with advertising. Star Paths aren’t the only way Gameloft could celebrate the sequels, though; Disney Dreamlight Valley could also choose to add some new neighbors to the Valley.

Frozen 3 and Moana 2 Characters Could Put Down Roots in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If Disney and Gameloft want to ensure that Frozen 2 and Moana 3 leave a lasting impression on Disney Dreamlight Valley players, then Star Paths should only be one piece of the puzzle. Rather than just adding a slew of new cosmetics themed after the films, key characters could be added to the game for players to interact with. With both franchises featuring numerous notable heroes and villains, these new arrivals to Disney Dreamlight Valley could serve as either friends or foes.

Since Disney Dreamlight Valley players can already pal around with characters like Maui, Moana, Anna, and Elsa, the best option may be to bring in villains from the two franchises. Depending on the nature of the new villains introduced in Moana 2 and Frozen 3, Gameloft could even use them to set up a new antagonist ahead of the release of Act 3 of Disney Dreamlight Valley in summer of 2024. This would be a great way to build excitement around the films while simultaneously expanding the game’s underlying lore.

By bringing in new cosmetics and characters from two of the House of Mouse’s biggest properties, Disney Dreamlight Valley could showcase Frozen 3 and Moana 2 and give fans of the films something to celebrate. No matter how they’re integrated into the game, though, Disney Dreamlight Valley players should expect to see more from both franchises in the years to come.
