Disney Dreamlight Valley has revealed that the game will remain a paid service despite leaving early access soon, indefinitely delaying free-to-play plans. Disney Dreamlight Valley became available as an early-access game back in September 2022. Fans who purchased one of the Founder's Pack editions got to play it before everyone else. This meant that even though they might have to deal with certain bugs and wait for more content, as is customary in many games in this state, they would be able to experience it right away.

Disney Dreamlight Valley was always pitched as a game that would become free-to-play once it left early access. Gameloft had previously revealed that Disney Dreamlight Valley would go free-to-play in 2023, and that is what many fans expected to happen. Even though there were players interested in the game when it first launched in early access, many opted to wait until it became free, and now it seems that they'll either have to buy it or wait indefinitely.

One new Disney Dreamlight Valley house has an obvious glaring issue that is pointed out by one fan concerned about its aesthetic.

Disney Dreamlight Valley shared an update on the early access status of the game and what the future holds. Disney Dreamlight Valley will officially launch on a global scale on December 5, 2023. While players were hopeful that this announcement also meant the game would also go free-to-play on the same day, Gameloft actually revealed the opposite. According to the Disney Dreamlight Valley blog update, the developers have made the decision to keep Disney Dreamlight Valley a paid game for the foreseeable future.

On top of this, since early access will be coming to an end, Founder's Packs will no longer be available after December 4. Players either have to buy the base game for $39.99, the Cozy Edition for $49.99, or they can get the Gold Edition for $69.99, which includes the upcoming $29.99 expansion pack.

Many players who purchased early access last year voiced their opinions right away, as they felt that the company had been rather deceptive with its initial promises and claims. This isn't the first time that Gameloft has had to deal with unsatisfied fans, but the company assures players that they will continue to release free content updates for Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
