Ever since the release of Disney Dreamlight Valley, players have noticed all the green flames scattered across the Forgotten Lands. As of the release of the fifth major update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can finally clear out the flames and open the engulfed chests. However, just like with the other obstacles that couldn't be cleared right away, players will have to do a little work before they can deal with the flames.
First off, players must complete the quest that unlocks Fairy Godmother. After that, Disney Dreamlight Valley players must get her to Friendship Level 2 to unlock her first Friendship quest, 'Fire Alarm'.
Listen to the Fairy Godmother and Merlin
The Fairy Godmother needs help with an enchantment that should be able to get rid of the fires, but first she needs to speak with Merlin. Open up the map and look for their location. Go there and listen to them talk to advance the quest. Naturally, it falls to players to gather ingredients to make the enchantment since it involves Dreamlight magic.
Gather the Ingredients
In order to make the Icy Enchantment, players must gather three Tourmaline, 15 Snowballs, five Dream Shards, five Purple Impatiens, and one Empty Vial. Tourmalines can be mined from rocks in the Sunlit Plateau and the Frosted Heights. Snowballs can be found by destroying ice blocks in the Frosted Heights. Dream Shards are obtained by either digging from glowing spots on the ground or by removing Night Thorns. Purple Impatiens are found only in the Forgotten Lands. The Empty Vial will need to be crafted by gathering Sand and Coal Ore.
How to Put out the Fires
Once all the ingredients have been gathered, go to the nearest crafting station and make the Icy Enchantment. Make sure there is space for it on the inventory screen. Once applied, players will be able to use the Royal Watering Can on the green flames. The objective for this stage of the quest is to simply find five fires and put them out. When putting out one of the flames, players will get Glass. Any chest engulfed in flames drops either Star Coins or Furniture for players.
Return to the Fairy Godmother
Once five flames have been put out, find the Fairy Godmother and speak with her. She is grateful for the help with removing the sinister looking flames. But there is still more work to be done. The next step of the quest is to make the Forgotten Lands a more comfortable place.
In order to proceed to the next quest step, players must place 25 paths, four outdoor lighting fixtures, and three seats somewhere within the Forgotten Lands. It doesn't matter what players use as long as what is placed is one of the three kinds of items listed above, and players can place them anywhere within the Forgotten Lands. Once that is finished, speak with the Fairy Godmother and then follow her. Talk to her next to a mysterious growing plant to complete the quest.
