Disney Dreamlight Valley players have something to look forward to, as the next major content update for the game now has an official release date. Disney Dreamlight Valley revealed Festival of Friendship recently, and although fans knew it would come in February, there was never an indication of exactly when. Now players know that the Festival of Friendship update will be available to all early access players on February 16.

Since Disney Dreamlight Valley is still in early access, every major content update brings the game one step closer to being complete. This new update promises to bring new, beloved characters to the valley, another star path, story content for the Frosted Heights biome, and more. This is also just the first of many updates coming in early 2023, so there's plenty to look forward to.

Aside from revealing the release date of February 16 for the Festival of Friendship update, Disney Dreamlight Valley also showed off some exciting art with hints of new content coming in the update. A lot of what's shown in the picture has already been confirmed, but there's some new info as well. Mirabel, Olaf, new customization options for the player's Dreamlight Valley house, the new rabbit companion, and the 100-year anniversary Minnie ears are all examples of things players were expecting to see. Looking a little closer at the image reveals even more exciting additions though.

For starters, Mirabel is standing in front of what looks like a miniature version of Casita, seemingly confirming that this is what her house in the valley will be. Mickey and Minnie are also found in the image but in fancy new outfits. Avid Disney fans will recognize these as the Disney 100 Celebration outfits worn by Mickey and Minnie at Disneyland in celebration of the company's 100-year anniversary (no doubt part of the 100-year anniversary star path). There's also a mysterious door with blue markings, and above it players can see the pillar for the Frosted Heights. These probably relate to the new story content coming with the update.

There may be even more hints about new features hidden within this image for fans to uncover, but it won't be long before the update is out in full. Whether fans are looking forward to the new story quests, more Disney characters for their valley, quality of life changes, or something else, there's likely to be a little bit of something for everybody.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
