Disney Dreamlight Valley takes players to an enchanting world full of beloved Disney characters. As players progress through the story quests, they can cook meals, explore realms beyond Dreamlight Valley, complete Friendship Quests, and partake in plenty of exciting activities with characters.
One such Friendship Quest, "Do you want to build a Snowman", was inspired by the famous song from Frozen. In this quest, Anna works with players to cheer up Elsa and remind her that she has caring friends around her. This guide will cover the entirety of "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" and how to complete it in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman"
Before starting the quest, players need to meet a couple of requirements, including reaching friendship level 10 with Anna and unlocking Frosted Heights and Sunlit Plateau (which will require 17,000 Dreamlight to unlock both biomes). Of course, players will also need to have completed all of Anna's previous Friendship Quests as well.
Talk to Anna and Find the Book of Portraits
Speak to Anna, who will reveal that Elsa has been quite frustrated lately. To raise her spirits, Anna comes up with a great idea. She suggests that if Elsa gets to see the book of her family’s portraits, it may make her feel better. The book can be found in Anna’s house located in the Forest of Valor. Travel to her house and enter the room to the left, where the orange book will be lying on the floor. Collect the book and bring it back to Anna.
Prepare a Birthday Cake
When players talk to Anna, she will excitedly suggest presenting the book to Elsa along with a Birthday Cake. She will then share the recipe for the cake to help players gather the ingredients required for the dessert. In order to make a Birthday Cake, players will need to gather one Wheat, one Sugarcane, one Cocoa Bean, one Butter, and one Egg.
Start collecting the ingredients by purchasing Wheat Seeds from Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow. Plant them, water the newly planted crops, and wait for the Wheat to sprout. Luckily, Wheat just takes one minute to grow. Pick it up and start looking for the next ingredient, Sugarcane. Head to Goofy's Stall in Dazzle Beach. Just like Wheat, purchase Sugarcane seeds, plant them, and collect Sugarcane once they fully grow. They will take around seven minutes to grow.
Cocoa Beans can be found growing in the Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau. The final items on the list are Butter and Egg, which are available at Chez Remy for 190 and 220 Star Coins, respectively. After collecting the required ingredients, simply head to the cooking station in the restaurant and make a Birthday Cake.
Visit Elsa and Make a Snow Family
With the Birthday Cake and book of portraits in hand, players should head to Elsa. Upon receiving the thoughtful gifts, she will be delighted, and thank players for reminding her of the good old days and making her feel better.
After talking to Elsa, players should return to Anna. While Anna is happy that her plan worked, she wants to do more for her sister. Therefore, she will request an additional favor. She asks players to make a Snow Family. In order to make a Snow Family, players must gather 40 Snowballs, 12 Pebbles, eight Fabric, eight Dry Wood, and four Carrots.
Snowballs can be found in the Frosted Heights. Once there, equip the Royal Shovel and start digging. Apart from that, they are also available at Kristoff’s Stall for 25 Star Coins each. To collect Pebbles, visit Dazzle Beach, Forgotten Lands, Sunlit Plateau, or Forest of Valor.
Next comes Dry Wood, which can be found in the Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and the Forgotten Lands. With its greyish-white color, it is pretty hard to miss. The next material, Fabric, requires cotton for its crafting. To craft eight Fabric, players will need to buy 40 Cotton Seeds from Goofy's Stall in the Sunlit Plateau. It is important to note that growing Cotton can be time-consuming as it needs 25 minutes. In addition, it also needs frequent watering.
If players don't want to wait 25 minutes, apply a Miracle Growth Elixir to the Royal Watering Can before watering the crops.
Once players have enough Cotton, they can go to a crafting station and craft fabrics. It is possible that players might already have some Carrots in their inventory. If they don't, they can visit Peaceful Meadow and purchase its seeds from the Goofy's Stall for 10 Star Coins each. After collecting all the materials, go to a crafting station and craft the Snow Family.
Talk to Anna
Return to the Forest of Valor and place the Snow Family anywhere in the biome. Once done, take a picture with the snow family, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. Finally, players need to talk to Anna one last time, who will reward them with Fall’s Bounty Gown, concluding the quest.
